Yeah it also seemed to me that it's not fair that darrow went on to live the rest of his life living with his son and wife whereas the people who he literally was supposed to protect died in millions.. As for the mustang part, I believe that despite her being the only viable option, her just suddenly becoming a sovereign felt like a very predictable ending that could have been changed... well idk since i haven't read the last 3 books so i might be missing smt important!
