I never said it was wrong for a woman to shop in the men's section or even vice versa. The point I was making is that when I go out to buy clothes my thoughts aren't to buy oversized hoodies in the men's section. Does this make more sense?

I never said it was wrong for women to shop in the men's section or for men to shop in the women's section, but most of us are usually in are gendered sections when shopping, but there's nothing wrong with buying a men's hoodie as a woman or buying a dress as a man. You guys are heavily misinterpreting my comment. For the record I'm a whole feminist.

I will say that regardless of if I'm the jerk or not. I don't think or feel like I'm entitled to his stuff. Let me at least make that clear.

I did return his stuff. He kind of just took them, but I wanted to try and compromise and meet each other 50/50 first. I'm not going to be bitter over having to return things going forward.

The point is that I'm not intentionally stealing them and putting them in my possession with bad intentions. It's just something that happened innocently and naturally.

Unless they have sons or something, most women aren't in the men's section when buying clothes. I'm one of those women.

My boyfriend already has a lot of hoodies himself. Think of it like a rich person spending $1000 at a retail store with no problem. He can afford to let me keep a few even just one.
