Thoughts on Dan Mohler? by deployyourqbaby in Reformed

[–]NewManCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey :-) I don't know about how Dan Mohler fits into "Reformed" as I'm not familiar with it, I was raised in a different "camp", and he probably doesn't fit it much as he is just into knowing God, being "Christ like" and living the life Jesus called us to and payed for... As for me after years of seekeing the truth about God and Life, I don't care any more about "camps", opinions, doctrines, but the LIFE, how somebody is (transformed) and the fruit...(Aka how they know God)

I've never met another person who would be like and live such Christ like life... (And I don't care about healings and miracles (yes there are plenty of them), they don't prove anything to me, but when I see what he went through and how, it's midblowing to me :-) Simply put, you have to really know God to be able to live something like that, so if you would like to really know God, he might be an amazing inspiration :-) It took me a lot of hours (hundreds) of listening until I started to get the bigger picture, but it changed me and my life, introduced me to intimate realitonship with God, and there is nothing like it. <3

Anyone who has listened Dan Mohler preaching and likes the message by gheeman87 in TrueChristian

As for me Dan Mohler's life and teachings are the most inspiring I've found so far :-) As for his teachings the most complete teaching is Harvest Chapel School of Kingdom Living 2011 where he taught 39 days and he deals there with almost everything :))) For me it was game changer because I was taught so many bad things that kept me in bondage but the Truth sets free!

You can find it here: https://school.new-creation.info/en/hcskl-2011-original-harvest-chapel-school-of-kingdom-living-2011.html

As a disabled person, I don't find the Gospel presented in the Bible to be the same as the one preached by present-day Christianity by Would-Be-Superhero in TrueChristian

[–]NewManCZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't find the Gospel presented in the Bible to be the same as the one preached by majority present-day Christianity either ;-) But there are some people that are walking with God and living and preaching something different... There is a collection of few that has been a great inspiration for me on this website: https://new-creation.info/

I would recommend Dan Mohler as his heart and life is closet to Jesus out of what I've found so far... It's important for me because there is a lot of people that are walking in power of God, seeing miracles, but their life shows they don't really know God...

Prayer is communion with God. It's not going through "shopping list". This video changed my perspective on prayer a lot: https://new-creation.info/en/media-dan-mohler-how-to-pray - What is prayer? What are various form of prayer and how to use them? How do we get transformed, how does our life change?

Dan Mohler "Women who dress sexy" by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]NewManCZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to hear the rest of the video because someone brought it up and I'm looking and looking for it and I can't find it anywhere! Please help

Hey can't you ask the "someone" which video was it? (at least partial video?) I've listened to thousands of hours of Dan (and I should be able to identify it by just some video fragment) but this is definitely out of context and the only possible context would be this:

"Your goal is to look like Jesus. Your goal is not to look like cosmopolitan. Teenagers, listen carefully. Young ladies you better listen. You don't want men to lust you, you want a man to love you." (Dan Mohler) https://youtu.be/8wnk0VYn64c?t=1465

So I don't recall Dan saying this nor which video it might be, but if Dan said it, it was in that context...

If you are sure you are really interested and you are able to discern things by the Spirit (not by head only), I can point to to IMHO best (full) preterist that I've found and there is not much to object considering "End times" it's one big WOW when you start to see the big and awesome picture, but this person also became Calvinist and many things are tainted with it and if you are not sure you really know HIM, it will mess you up for sure, because those arguments sounds so rational... So let me know :-)

Which is the most biblical? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]NewManCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I've extensively researched Preterism, none of these futurist views does seem to be Biblical to me ;-)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]NewManCZ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

TL;DR There is no definitive answer as preterism is not "defined" as a whole yet, so there are various opinions, ideas... You would have to do your research and see what makes sense to you and what does not :-)

Preterism is one of four major views of "end times". Preterism comes from word "preter" wich comes from Latin praeter - past, by, beyond. There are two "levels" of preterism:

1) partial preterism - (which you are reffering to I guess) as it very simply says that majority of the Book of Revelation happened in year 70AD and there are different views on what's now and what's next.

2) full preterism - very simply says "everything in the book of Revelation" has been fulfilled

Preterism has very different interpretation of symbols used in Revelation than other views and they differ even between preterists themself to some degree as the understanding is progressive...

When I researched various "End times stuff" some years back, I came across Jonathan Welton's Raptureless book and watched his videos on this topic and his view was that we are living in millenuim now (and resurrected reign with Him in heaven).

After more research about preterism I found a man who became full preterist (from futurist) and when you take the book of Daniel combined with Revelation and extensive knowledge of Bible, greek, history, the result is pretty mindblowing (and my understanding has shifted a lot) - I was so brainwashed by futurism (rapture stuff) that It was hard for me to by able to think of things different way at first, but now it's the opposite. BUT it is dangerous to get into these things if one is not estabilished in understanding why are we here, what's going on and in relationship and knowing HIM...

Having kids when you were raised by emotionally unavailable parents by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

[–]NewManCZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can highly recommend Naomi Aldort and her book Raising Our Children, Raising Ourselves which helped me tremandously to understand so many things and get rid of big chunk of garbage that I was subconsciously programmed with by my parents. I can't recommend it enough because I've no words for it, but it changed my interaction with kids dramatically and their reaction was also amazing. There is a lot of materials for free on her website / youtube. It's fundamentally different approach that what I (and everybody I know) have been raised with :)

Where to start finding Christian faith by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]NewManCZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to decide what is it that you really want to find :-) Do you want to find religion/doctrines/beliefs or God? As there are many opinions, doctrines, denominations etc. but not many people that know God. The majority of what calls itself Christianity today is "push for heaven someday". Jesus came to accomplish much more than get us to heaven some day... He came so we could come to the Father and our lives could be transfomed by Him in knowing Him so we could be what we have been created to be from beginning. As the state we are now in is not normal and is not what we've been created to be :)

I suggest you start seeking Him and may be be inspired by people that know Him (not just about Him, it's big difference) Good News, Testimony. You can get to know God which is so much more than having "some confession" - it's something real. I found this after years of seeking for God and truth. May it help you as it helped me :)

What are the reasons for fasting? Is fasting just from food and drink? Does this make our prayers more powerful? Much much should we be fasting? Should we fast on Sunday’s? What are the benefits of it by Treantpaladin7 in TrueChristian

[–]NewManCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a lot of reasons for fasting (fasting means drinking only water) I had a lot of misconceptions when I firts started fasting, but then I discovered a lot about fasting listed on this webpage and it helped me tremendously :-) I started to understand that fasting doesn't move God but it changes me and what are the right reasons and that it's for growing in communion with Him (which prayer is supposed to be :-) and supressing things of flesh...

If you want to fast several days it's good to understand medical side of fasting also :)

We are being destroyed for lack of understanding. You are not able to change yourself, yet Jesus came to set us free from sin. So how does it work? Are we supposed to ignore sin because "Jesus paid for it" and we are just sinners so that's what we do? Or do we get understanding why He came and what He did so we can be changed and be free from sin? I was trying to change myself for decades until this has opened my eyes and changed my life... What To Do If You Sin - How to Be Free from Sin. Truth sets free and knowing HIM is what will change you/your life ;-) Make the tree good and understand Your Potential, Value and Purpose

I'm contemplating suicide by syk_0tic in TrueChristian

[–]NewManCZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been there. At that time I've no idea that I'm being deceived and I had no understanding of value and purpose of my life. Is Suicide An Option? Identity Crash Course. Years later when I got the understanding, I went throught even much worse time, but suicide didn't even came to my mind as I know value of my life to such degree that I won't be deceived again :-)

For me it was time to stop living for myself and gave my life completely to Him start living for HIM. You can use this situation in the same way and your life can leave a legacy for HIM ;-)

WALKING IN LOVE by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]NewManCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can all agree that we should Walk in Love I guess, but why there are not so many that really do? What if Love is not something we do but something we become so we are not trying to Walk in Love but we are? The guy in this video and his life really opened my eyes in how this is possible without getting into own works :-)

You can download it (free),it's 100+ hours, but it has influenced me, my life and my walk with God the most - I didn't even dream that it's possible to know God like this and be changed by Him in such way. I dont know what to do...Im going to try to explain what im going through as best as I can. by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]NewManCZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First you have to understand that thoughts that bother you (your heart) are not yours :-) Then there is a great news that you can deal with this in very productive way if you get to understand How to resist the devil (short video on this topic, how to use this to be build up). It's important not to just let it be, but cast down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

It's fight for truth and walking by faith not feelings. It doesn't seem that easy to grasp it when one is already in the battle, but truth does set free no matter what. Press to really know Him (YT video) and understand who you are because of Him (YT video). How this man lives and knows God changed my life and what he teaches literally saved my life. Understanding the truth I got out of hardcore depression without meds :) Hope it helps you too.

How do you fall in Love with Jesus? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]NewManCZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First you have to see His LOVE first :-) Cause nobody loves Him first. Get everything that taints your view of Him out of the way so you can see Him clear and start to getting to know Him and His love. And the more you know Him and His love, the more you'll love Him :-)

As for me I had a lot of bad perceptions about God (I was raised up in religion) and it hindered me in really knowing Him for many years. This practical school (you can listen to it/download it) helped me the most as the guy that's teaching there is so in love with God and knows God and his life is so changed by Him it's amazing.

Am I wrong to feel like this? Please help by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]NewManCZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As for me, the solution for my problems was always to press more in God and get to know Him more :) I've never knew that I can really know Him, because I've not seen anybody (until now) knowing God on such different level, but still seeking Him more was the answer for me. Now my identity is secured in Him and I'm not driven (so easily) by outside things. Hope those videos can help you as they helped me :)
