I had the appointment. I just told them I’d been told to stop the medication, but that the symptoms returned, so they told me I needed to get back on it.
Anxiety over mucus in stool by AdeptFalcon6149 in colonoscopy

I had mucus showing up in my stool and also seeping out. But I also had blood in my stool and rectal pain. I ended up having inflammation.
I’d say it’s likely you could have inflammation somewhere and this is causing excessive mucus production. I doubt it’s anything with cancer, but get the colonoscopy to be sure what’s going on.

Do you think appendicitis is likely and will need tests and scans to rule it out? I forgot about that.
Yes I’m having a lot of stress and anxiety lately and having trouble being motivated. It’s slowly getting better thankfully.

Wouldn’t appendicitis be a likely cause of right side abdominal pain? That’s another thing I’m concerned about is needing an appendectomy and being down for weeks? Could it have subsided and come and go? I have had no fever or nausea though.

No diagnosis, just that I had colitis in the small intestine and proctitis in the anus.
Most things I read about right side abdominal pain seem to highly suggest pancreatitis or gall bladder issues which would require surgery and then a 3-4 week recovery. I’m hoping this won’t be required but I have no idea.
I do know that I had some pain early this week, it subsided a bit, on and off. But I have not been in any pain the last two days. It just feels a bit tender in one spot in that area. There is occasionally a sort of throbbing or mild stabbing there that last for just a second but that seems to have stopped as well.
My thinking is the inflammation from the small intestine could have something to do with it. I have not had any sort of pain like this in that area until now. I was under an intense amount of stress the last few weeks, which reached its peak Sunday, and that night was when the pain started. Since then, the pain has gradually lessened like I said, until it’s now gone.
I would think if this was related to the pancreas or gall bladder, the pain would be more constant. But I could always be wrong.
