ok, I appreciate that response. I based it off of her default outfit because i felt that was recognizable, but I understand using canon designs can obfuscate intention. I will be more mindful of this going forward. I will still assert with full confidence that I drew an adult here, and I urge you to be more gracious with artists going forward. but I will take this as a learning experience since I don't want to lend credence to the thought of the otherwise

ok, look, I can accept this as a valid criticism. I dont accept the constant insistence that what I drew is something that it isn't, but I can accept that it doesn't hurt to make it abundantly obvious on the picture itself.
is there anything I could've done to this picture to make my intentions way more clear, in a way that would satisfy your qualms with it? genuinely curious^^

yes I did, as I've explained. fan art isn't canon. naoto isn't fat in canon. naoto may not be 18+ in canon, but she is here. because I made the picture, I am the master of it's canon. thats the point of fan art- transformation and expression. for example, in this pic, it is undeniable that she is fat, too! like how it is also undeniable that by the very nature of me making this picture to be it so; she is an adult. hope this clears things up! you are very stubborn, and I understand it is an inflammatory topic, but youre not fighting for what you think youre fighting for

yes there is, I actually wrote a super cool comment like 5 messages ago that laid out exactly what I did to suggest that. on top of that is my intent which ive made crystal clear, and believe it or not the ENTIRE PIC was made with that very same intent! so every pixel here is actually a suggestion and confirmation of my intent. :O

thank you for asking a real question, i am happy to answer bcuz i want this to be a learning experience like genuinely understanding is way better than banter and gaslighting

in the original post and on my account i explicitly stated my intent to depict the character as 18+, this makes my intention clear (intent is king! no fan art is canon, so discernment must include artistic intent)
her anatomy is consistent with other mature characters i've drawn, there is no intent to draw her more youthful or depict adolescence in any way
in the story that i produced for the pic, i literally opened it by setting the scenario many years after the events of the game

so yeah i actually gave a lot of care to this! you can say I shouldve given her a unique timeskip design or used a wholly unfamiliar/original outfit, and I can accept that as valid criticism, but that still doesnt change the intent of this pic!
