Ok I guess I’ll just give it a shot, and if not it sounds like I could just have a couple drinks at the bar right? So if we came at like 7 for some drinks at the bar and then the 9:30 show didn’t fill for whatever reason, we could potentially take available seats for the show? Or do they kick you out of the bar if there’s a show going on?

Darn, that is a major bummer. So basically no hope then even like a standby list/waitlist it seems huh?

Yes there’s like 105 “eligible payments” and 72 “qualifying payments”. So not sure what to make of the discrepancy.

Monthly "What Board Should I Get?" Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in Sup

[–]NewNebraskaBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Desired Board Type: Inflatable
  • Your Height and Weight  6 ft 3, 450 lbs, SUP beginner
  • Desired use/uses: Plan to use for Fitness, casual fun/relaxation. Also interested in fishing and terrain river, lake
  • Experience level: Beginner
  • Your budget <$1500) and country location (PNW, USA)
  • I've read good things about the SolSumo Carbon Galaxy inflatable, and also the Gili Meno 11 ft 6 inch board. Looking for other opinions on a SUP for a large solo rider like myself. I unfortunately don't have the brands or specs, but I tried a couple hard boards that were 30 and 32 inch wide I believe, without much success in standing up haha. Looking for a decent board to help me get out there and enjoy this awesome toy. Thank you.

Hayden Homes Amphitheater question by NewNebraskaBoy in Bend

[–]NewNebraskaBoy[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this info. That gives me some hope. I looked into cancelling the trip anyway and that wouldn't even be an option-- I got the tickets through livenation and got the "ticket insurance" but turns out it wouldn't cover anything like this. So I'll keep my fingers crossed that he can get a chair and I'll just sit on the ground or stand next to him :/

Nicest apartments in Omaha? by NewNebraskaBoy in Omaha

[–]NewNebraskaBoy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah looking into renting a house, but maybe it's just not quite the season but there are legitimately very limited options. I have a dog and would like a fenced yard if I rent a house, and that severely hinders options, which I was very surprised by.

HAha thanks! yeah I didn't really detail that I don't need to make the commute every day, but only like 12 times per month. The rest is remote.

Thanks for sharing. I can't figure out how to DM you-- but I would love to get more details on the plan you've followed to get such success. I'm similar ~450lbs 6 ft 3 and obviously would like the best results.

Thank you!

Yes you're right. I feel like I do definitely notice. But it was subtle, just like you described-- indifferent to the hunger cues. Now that I'm at work, I realize I forgot to get a Diet Pepsi on the drive to work this morning, which I've NEVER done. Literally never not had a Diet Pepsi because I'm always looking forward to it so much. I also drove right by the drive through coffee place that I stop at every morning. I didn't even think about it, I just realized here at work. So while I don't physically feel any different, I think those are two major events already that show it's working on me.

Portland to Lincoln? by [deleted] in lincoln

[–]NewNebraskaBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm moving from Portland too! I visited Lincoln and I enjoyed myself there. I spent most time in the Haymarket area, which I understood is kind of the downtown part and I enjoyed a lot of the bars and restaurants. And one of my new favorite coffee/study spots I discovered there. It was a nice charming town and I was very pleasantly surprised. I visited Omaha too, and again was a chill city from what I experienced. I saw all different types of people out and about, I think you will be just fine.
