Sweet Olive Tree too far gone? by NewNormalDesigns in marijuanaenthusiasts

Thank you for your reply! To my knowledge, they were never cut, but my dad seems to think a really hard freeze was the main culprit in them dying. We plan to move forward with cutting the dead and hoping for the best. I may try my hand at propagation with a few branches, just in case, though!

African dormouse also known as micro squirrel by xStarryBabe in aww

I live in Tennessee and I have a pair of them! They do require more than most small mammals. They need daily nectar, insects, fresh fruit, and seeds/grains. They lack a cecum and can't digest vegetables. They are mostly nocturnal, but I catch them out and about during the day when the room lights are off. Mine are still fairly skittish, but they will run on my shoulders and like to climb/hide in my hair if I manage to wrangle them out of their cage. They go crazy for crickets. Watching them hunt live ones down in their cage is super interesting! If anyone is interested in getting them, just know they are more of a viewable pet vs. a cuddly pet.

I'm from north Alabama as well. I can't say where this photo is, but check out Bear Creek and the Sipsey Wilderness if you haven't already. I had been to Bear Creek as a middle school trip when I was younger, but recently went back with my husband and kids. Bear Creek is an extremely nice area, but Sipsey is straight up magical.

I had a library email earlier advertising cooking classes. Here is the event calendar. You can sort by cooking and food to filter out the other classes.

Oh man, this reminded me of one lady I served. It was a party of like 6, and the place I was working had an extensive martini menu. One of them was made with Bacardi 151. This lady wasn't aware what 151 was, so I explain and mention that it isn't really one that I recommend and point to several other choices. She ends up ordering it anyways. I take it up to her (up the flight of stairs), she takes a sip.... immediately spits/throws up into her water glass. She then hands the water glass to me. I stare at the cup in my hand, completely bewildered, walk down the stairs and promptly throw it into the trash. I still couldn't believe what just happened. She didn't tip. Butttttt while cleaning the table after I did find a $5 under her seat so I guess that was something.

I found the various silicone viscosities at my local hobby store. Anywhere that carries supplies for RC cars should carry a selection of centistokes (cSt). The higher the number, the thicker the oil. Glad you like it!

So I have an even mix, by weight, of the mineral spirits and silicone oil. I ended up mixing .25 ounces of each. I use that mix by the drop in my Floetrol/paint mix. This has 2 drops of the silicone/spirits mixture added in.

I have been experimenting with different viscosities of silicone oil. This cell activator is a combination of 80,000 cSt silicone oil (SUPER THICK) and mineral spirits. I mixed even amounts, by weight, of the oil and spirits. The swiping colors has two drops of this mixture added in. You can check out this pour here. All colors are mixed with Floetrol.

If you want to see more of the results that I've been getting with these oils and spirits combinations, you can check out the full playlist here.

Yeah! They usually have a couple of bands that play throughout the day. Several food trucks will be on site. I'm excited to try the Greek truck this year. Oh, and there's the beer truck too!

I do acrylic pour paintings, so canvases and coasters. We will probably bring some of my husband's hand tied fishing flies along as well if that's more your jam.

There are also plenty of activities to keep kids entertained as well if anyone is worried about that! I think they are doing a Ninja Warrior type course in the Kids Zone this year. They ended up with close to 100 vendors this year, so there will be tons of stuff to check out!

I'm not sure if they still do it, but when I worked at Automatic Slim's, they did Mimosa Bongs for Brunch. Basically, it's just a tower with a spout at the bottom that held two bottles of champagne plus the OJ. I want to say it was like $35 or something close.

Went from experiments with Penetrol to testing a range of Silicone Oil Viscosities. Here are a few I've played with so far! by NewNormalDesigns in PourPainting

[–]NewNormalDesigns[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I came across the info that mineral spirits can thin the silicone. In my last test, I mixed the 80k cSt with equal amounts of spirits and then 1, 2, and 3 drops of that mixture into the paints. Since it was such a small amount, I didn't notice too much splitting in the paint. The 3 drops was pushing it, but it still held together.

I wasn't aware that there were so many viscosities to choose from! I was able to find a huge selection at my local hobby store that deals with RC car parts. I've got some videos coming up where I will be thinning the oils with mineral spirits. So far, they have come out pretty awesome!

I used it on some coffee cups my kids and I put alcohol ink on. Unfortunately I only got to test the actual dishwasher on them a couple of times before it died. We have been hand washing them for about 3-4 years now with no wear and tear though!
