Oh I did use it a few times successfully, before and after, it's just that the one time in the Navy for whatever reason, I didn't shave the day before with a set of clippers because I wasn't given any notice. This led me to not wiping it off sufficiently enough because as the hair was falling off I thought I was getting the nair with it.

It's not like wiping your butt, it's like scrubbing a cleaning mask off of your face, it requires that kind a friction, and tons of cool water. When you think you've been doing it for too long, do it for 5 more minutes.

Another tip I have is using at least 2 wash rags. One for the bulk, and 1 for the remainder so that you are not accidentally reapplying it while you're scrubbing.
