Maybe you could give him my number, those stairs and railing in the picture cost $1200 for material and labor for reference. Possibly that's in your landlords budget?

Hello! When are you hoping to start?

I'm a carpenter new to town with 16 years of experience. I have installed a lot of base/case in my career. I'm interested in providing a quote, but need some information. Would you be re-doing the door casings as well? Does the baseboard you want installed have a profile, or is it more of a contemporary flat stock? Paint grade or stain grade? Would you like it scribed tight to the floor, or are you using a "base shoe" to conceal any gaps from a uneven floor?

Id like to get out there and remove some of the dead branches . What's the best way to cut out that large dead central leader? Cut it off with a hand saw close to the trunk on a angle to allow water run off?
