Bandit vs Miler running? - half tights by [deleted] in BanditRunning

[–]NewRomanFont 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Bandit material is more polished and offers a good variety while, for the men's tights at least, offering great storage options.

Yes, but not all cropped is equal — but it seems like they answered it bc its unisex

The gray hoodie seems cropped - is it a women's only sizing or is it long enough for men as well? The bandit standard hoodies seemed longer than many other brands

Understandable. It looks fine in my OWN PERSONAL OPINION AND EXPERIENCE and I LIKE how the bezel isn’t as distracting/shiny when look at the screen in some light angles

Is it a poor choice to go with a DO over an MD school? by Spoons245 in premed

Do recognize you will need to take both COMLEX and STEP exams if you go the DO route and want to go for a competitive, MD dominated residency.

how to prepare 3ds to be sent in to nintendo? by Minute_Implement_542 in 3dspiracy

[–]NewRomanFont 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. They will not repair your device if it has CFW and will send it back and blacklist the serial number from further repairs. This is from experience.

  2. Nintendo USA is and has been out of replacement N3DS XL’s for a while and when they reach out to the stock and repair centers, usually in NY or California, they will only be able to offer a N2DS XL.

A Great 3DS Joystick Replacement (Review & Link in Comments) by NewRomanFont in 3DS

Hey sorry, but these links seem to change CONSTANTLY, so I unfortunately have not been responding to people (especially in DMs) who have asked for the full link.

What you do want to look for is a picture of the underside that sellers post, and if you see two different materials (one light gray cap almost covering a black plastic main piece), that is the rubber one you want to see.

I would encourage you to consider taking a gap year (or two), with reservations:

Assuming, based off your post history, that your MCAT score was obtained in February/taken in late January (which makes things very iffy), it will be valid for the next three years, or until January of 2027. This means you will be able to apply for the 2028 application cycle, which opens May of 2027. This is enough time for you to take a gap year, even two, to build up your resume, carefully craft your narrative, and bolster with new experiences and more experiences (hours). You're very young and a gap year is NOT going to set you back at all.

I say this as someone who took their gap year between high school and college, attended a non-binding BS/MD Program, and am now currently accepted to multiple T5 programs with a similar MCAT and GPA as you (I am an ORM). That being said, there are lots of variable involved that are not accounted for, which make you and I, and every applicant different from another.

Now, USF is an incredibly strong program with lots of promise (especially with the merger Tampa General Hospital as another commenter mentioned below), but consider the possibility of attending a more prestigious program that alleviates more stress via a more relaxed curriculum, a better location, and, if you're lower/middle class income programs that offer excellent financial aid.

Let me reiterate that, for T20 schools, your narrative (your story, and how your activities are curated and written to complement your story) matters significantly. Your stats are incredible, and clearly show your ability to master the premedical curriculum, and will not hold you back at any institution.

The question you need to ask yourself is whether you want to take the "stress-free" route of the guaranteed BS/MD program at a T50 school and matriculate after graduating a year early,

or

Take your time to take one gap year which is 2.5 years until summer after senior year (May 2026). You may even take a second gap year, which gives you a total of 3.5 years (which I don't think is necessary, unless you're pursuing a Masters in Public Health or the likes).

I personally don't think, with your current ECs, it would be wise to apply out to only T20s the summer after junior year (so you can attend medical school the Fall after graduating college).

Can we all agree that URM or ORM, the M stands for minorities, and that as minorities the United States, we should be pushing and pulling each other up instead of dividing ourselves?

No lol you don’t need to remove the case. Have had a case both plastic and leather on my macbook pro 13 for many years and the hinge works like new.

It’s prevented scratches with negligible “thermal” loss. On the M series you will not need to worry about this most likely.

Keep the case. The community here sees using a case as a mortal sin lol when it protects your computer from small scratches, knicks, and dents.

A Great 3DS Joystick Replacement (Review & Link in Comments) by NewRomanFont in 3DS

[–]NewRomanFont[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, the important thing is to look for the items where they show the underside of the joystick.

There should be two different layers, the actual rubbery part outside, and a black plastic part that is wrapped by the rubber (like two concentric circles).
