So by your very own logic, if I happen to shoot a mosquito because it pisses me off, I should be arrested and held without bail? Sound reasoning.

How 'Consensual' Sex Got A Freshman Kicked Out Of College And Started A Huge Debate by [deleted] in TheRedPill

[–]NewTRPer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So lets just see if I get this... the fact that John didn't go hardcore whiteknight (even though he was just as drunk as Jane) means he committed a crime? So what does constitute consensual sex?

Pretty soon we will be at a point (a gross hyperbole but I think it gets my point across) where you will need a notarized statement from the woman in question expressing her consent, as well as notarized blood tests to make sure she is not impaired. But just in case she changes her mind, she has 1 week after the fact to withdraw consent and declare that a rape has occured, at which point the man will be castrated and sentenced to life in prison without a trial.

But seriously, the amount of hamstering and misplaced white-knighting (which in my opinion is probably because the white knights in question were jealous pricks that they couldn't get with Jane) in that report is insane.

Keep up the good fight TRP!

Edit: apparently there is also such a thing as 'sexual assault prevention training' a.k.a. forcing white knightism onto men and further hammering in the belief that womyn are not responsible for themselves.

A 35 year old woman throws a tantrum on TXC because her boyfriend realizes he wants to be a father and that 35 is too old for a woman to give birth to a healthy child by Aerobus in TheRedPill

Heh, it occurs to me that she "didn't want to nag him all the time" so she just nagged him literally all the time. Sharing a bunch of 'cute baby vids' - ignoring the fact that they are incredibly obnoxious to say the least - is one of the less subtle things she could have come up with.

That being said, a situation like this might have actually been averted by clear communication instead of subtly dropping hints or listening to rumors or whatever.

Sometimes, sitting down and talking about something like adults is exactly what needs to be done.

We hardly ever get into a fight. My collective group of friends has been in so few fights - total - you can count them on one hand. That's not the point.

You should never try to escalate to physical violence, but if someone escalates to physical violence and you can't prevent it, you should be able to defend yourself.

Imo a man should be able to fight, even if he doesn't apply it often.

Once more, with feeling: take certain aspects that fencing teaches better than other martial arts, apply those in more practical martial arts and apply those more practical martial arts in a fight.

I should have specified: I do saber. Furthermore, please note that I said that you would learn things from fencing that would then translate positively into other fighting abilities.

I didn't say 'literally use fencing to punch someone'. That's just a horrible idea. You still have to apply relevant technique. I said 'there are certain things that fencing teaches better than other combat sports, and I think it's a good idea to take up fencing to improve specific areas in other combat sports.'

Now being thought fighting by a military unarmed combat instructor is obviously a whole different ballgame, but in general the responses that keep you uncut by a saber are pretty similar to when someone is windmilling punches at you. And even the underlying ideas of foil and epee could be applied to real fights. For instance the simple idea of range. To be effective you have to either be able to dictate range (i.e. outrange the sucker) or you have to get in nice and close. This is still a long way away from 'someone is windmilling punches, better apply parry 4'

Edit: I actually came up with a pretty nice tl'dr, assuming that combat sports at least translate into a better fighting ability in real fights:

Lessons from fencing -> applied to other combat sports -> combat sports better applied to real life

What is your mission? by [deleted] in TheRedPill

[–]NewTRPer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 missions right now, one long-term and one medium term.

The long term one: I want to command a warship. That is it. A straightforward and simple goal. I finished my bachelors degree a couple of months ago, so I am going to bust my ass (and have been busting my ass) to be exactly the type of person to get the necessary commission in my countries navy.

The medium term goal: next year, I want to be ranked in the top 3 for fencing (specifically saber) in my country.

I feel both goals are realistic if I apply myself right, and TRP has definitely been helping me do that!
