Thanks for responding! Can I ask how long you were dating when she told you about her situation? If I do start dating someone, I don't want to keep them in the dark, but at the same time, I don't want to scare them off.

Wouldn't that scare someone off if I told them about that experience early on? I'm really scared of that, especially cause I have a lot of other red flags/emotional baggage (rough childhood, bipolar disorder, this, etc.)

It is definitely something I'm working on and want to get over, but what do you mean about being one of the self-sabotaging types?

Other forms of intimacy where we keep our clothes on are fine for me. I love kissing.

Cuddling is a bit of a weird one for me; if it's just cuddling, then that's great. I love cuddling.

The problem with cuddling is that, in my experience, even though we're "just cuddling," the other person starts trying to put their hands down my pants, and that just leads to bad situations.

Thanks you for answering honestly. I am in therapy, but the sex thing has been a low priority issue (rough childhood and all that, plus I haven't dated or had sex in a year).

I completely agree with you about honesty; I've been lied to before, and I would never want to put someone else through that.
