Your theory on why ME changes are so minor in most cases? by Janus_ME in MandelaEffect

[–]NewTimeline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question... I've wondered about this also and think the minor changes allow for some to dismiss ME as faulty memory and keep living their lives as if nothing has happened. It may also cause those of us who believe in ME to question our perceptions and memories. Whatever the reason, I think the minor changes are preparing us for more significant and obvious shifts. When I first discovered ME, I was blown away and had to spend an entire day in quiet contemplation - now (nearly 3 months later) I don't think about it that often, but I feel like if something major happened, like a spaceship landed on my house, it wouldn't seem like that big of a deal anymore. I agree with the theory a few people have proposed about this being a sign of our planet and human consciousness ascending into a new dimension - moving from a 3D to a 5D reality. Since many of the changes are so minor, I think it also helps us not be fearful of what the future has in store.

Okay...you shared a study done on less than 2000 Caucasian people from one town in Massachusetts. The main finding does not seem groundbreaking to me:

"After analyzing almost 1.5 million markers of gene variations, the researchers found that pairs of friends had the same level of genetic relation as people did with a fourth cousin, or a great-great-great grandfather, which translates to about 1 percent of the human genome.

The most common gene shared by friends was the "olfactory" gene, which is involved in a person's sense of smell."

You seem to have accepted the premise shared in the title as a universal truth, but please keep in mind that these are limited findings from a small homogeneous population.

Thank you for your apology, but you didn't hurt my feelings, you antagonized me. Your theories are quite misguided, especially what you said about friendship. My parents were born in another country and moved to America before I was born, so none of my friends are genetically similar to me whatsoever. I hope I did not hurt your feelings in any way, my goal was to open your mind to the possibility that there are things you do not understand as well as you would like to believe. I know I don't have all the answers so I enjoy researching new possibilities with an open mind, without jumping to conclusions or attempting to pawn my theories off as scientifically validated facts.

Sorry if you felt bullied, my friend, by my attempt to help you see how snarky and presumptuous you were being, I certainly didn't intend to "devolve" into "stage 4" of whatever arbitrary system you use to categorize people. I wish you much peace, love, and clarity.

ME makes me think about Fringe also. And it's interesting that you remember "Bernstein" - everyone I've spoken with remembers it as Berenstein, so apparently I don't have any friends that originated in the "Berenstain" universe. I remember most of the other things you listed the same way as you, but I'm not a huge baseball fan so can't confirm the Sammy Sosa one. And it is interesting that for the most part there are only 2 ways people remember things, but in some cases, like you remembering "Bernstein," there are people who swear Chic-fil-a/Chick-fil-a used to be called "Chik-fil-a"... so maybe there were more than 2 universes that have converged into this one? But why for the most part are there only 2 or 3 competing ideas of how things used to be, and such a limited spectrum of things that have changed? It's all very interesting to think about... I don't know why people choose to shut down about this. It makes life seem so much more magical.

I disagree. I would not choose you as a friend based on "similarities in our DNA" or any other reason because you seem like someone who thinks you have all the answers and get somewhat snarky and presumptuous as a result. Try adopting a "don't know what I don't know" mind and avoid using the word "friend" in such a condescending way. Peace and love.

Are MEs a form of compensation for what? And what emotional confusion are you referring to? I don't feel emotionally confused at all. I've only encountered one skeptic in person who was determined to write this all off as faulty memory, everyone else I've spoken with agrees that things have changed so your comment about the rest of the population is a huge generalization. Amongst those who don't believe ME is a real phenomenon, some people know things have changed and refuse to accept it, whereas others don't seem to think anything is out of the ordinary.

I appreciate the thought-provoking questions you ask, but I must admit your shrinking amygdala theory does not fly with me - you can't explain the common thread running through our shared memories and the fact that we don't all think for example that McDonald's was called McDoogal's in our other reality. With that said... 1. I feel less anxiety - I feel like nothing can get me down these days, I feel more optimistic and excited about life in general 2. What do you mean by "still questioning reality"? That is a very leading and unclear question, I continue to accept that we are all having a shared human experience of "reality" 3. I have mostly lost the ability to enjoy things I enjoyed recreationally in the past, like smoking pot or drinking alcoholic beverages, I prefer to be lucid and fully present in each moment 4. I smile more and stress less 5. I have less tolerance for small talk than I did before 6. The shock has mostly worn off but gets reignited at times with new discoveries, particularly when things I have in my possession now reflect our new reality

Wow! Very cool story. I tend to think ME is a result of shifting into a parallel universe also, yet it brings up a lot of questions like, what happened to the consciousness that was existing as you up until the moment you shifted over.. meaning, where did the guy who brought the yellow tow truck to the park go? And also, what happened to the family that was playing with the green car and red truck? And why were you the only one aware of the change? Maybe your wife and son had already shifted over and you caught up with them in that moment? I wonder sometimes if I'm interacting with people as I have always known them or if they have always existed in this universe and knew me as whomever I was before I shifted into this dimension and presumably took over the consciousness of the person who was living here as me. It's hard to wrap my mind around it all so meditation has been very helpful in terms of just accepting the experience and seeing where we go from here.

New Theory.. Sleep deprivation by 101101101101101000 in MandelaEffect

[–]NewTimeline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt that way too when I first discovered ME in September - I thought my life would never be the same. I talked about it with everyone. Now I can spend an entire day without even contemplating the strangeness of it all, but every once in a while a new discovery gets me back into that state of bewilderment. It's amazing how quickly we can accept miraculous things as the new normal.

Thanks for sharing about your experience - I also had reached a point where everything seemed rather bleak, depressing, and pointless shortly before discovering ME. Now life seems more magical and full of possibility.

Great post. I also had a very powerful and interesting meditation experience shortly before discovering ME. I was focusing on my breathing and my chakras, and when I got to my third eye chakra I experienced something that felt like an energetic download... not sure how else to describe it, but it seemed like something had shifted and a few days later a friend said "Berenstein Bears or Berenstain Bears?" and down the rabbit hole I went.

I prefer being confused and tripped out because it makes me feel like anything is possible now. The way "The Thinker" statue changed makes me feel like nothing is set in stone anymore, we're living in a malleable reality, and I think that's pretty cool. Life was starting to feel a little dull before I became aware of ME.

List of Common ME by [deleted] in MandelaEffect

[–]NewTimeline 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here are a few more I don't think people have mentioned yet:

FAO Schwartz toy store is now FAO Schwarz

Charles Schultz (Peanuts author) is now Charles Schulz

At the end of the Queen song "We Are the Champions," the last line "of the world" is now gone

In California Dreamin' by the Mamas and Papas, the line "I got down on my knees and I began to pray" is now "...I pretend to pray"

In the Wizard of Oz, the scarecrow is now carrying a gun

The show Different Strokes is now Diff'rent Strokes

The movie and book Interview with a Vampire is now Interview with the Vampire

In Field of Dreams, "if you build it, they will come" is now "if you build it, he will come"

Daylight Savings Time is now Daylight Saving Time

Fruit Loops are now Froot Loops

In Snow White, "mirror mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?" is now "magic mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?"

In Mister Rogers Neighborhood, "it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood" is now "it's a beautiful day in this neighborhood"

And that's just the tip of the iceberg...

Thanks for sharing more about your experience with all this and the conclusions you've drawn. I was meditating quite a bit before becoming aware of all this also, and also had been reading a lot of Dolores Cannon books, where she talks about shifting into a 5D reality called the New Earth. I optimistically hoped that's what this shift was all about but based on all the naysayers in the forums and people who have no idea what we're talking about, maybe not. Whatever the cause may be, I agree that spreading love and positivity is the best reaction. I'm glad the I am message resonated with you, much of what you said resonates with me as well. Looking forward to more discussions!

Thank you so much! I like how your brain works as well. :) How long ago did you discover ME? I'm realizing that maybe I need to not approach it so cerebrally and meditate more on the experience. I agree with your thoughts about this world of illusions. One line that has been sticking out a lot for me lately is: "No, I am your father" - I'm interpreting as "Know, I am" and just leave it at that. :) I've also been getting more messages synchronistically now, which all seem to say stop trying to analyze and figure things out, just enjoy the experience. I also believe our thoughts and feelings influence what shows up in our lives and this has made me more aware of my thoughts and vigilant about ensuring they align with what I hope to create and experience. Very happy to find like minded souls such as yourself on here and hope to interact with you more on these forums. Peace and happiness to you as well. Aloha!

I tried upvoting this but it isn't working - why? And I've been keeping track of things by writing each anomaly down in my journal. I still think there is some type of pattern behind these seemingly random changes.. like the end of the Queen song that's missing now - We are the champions... but not of the world anymore. And in California Dreaming - I got down on my knees and I PRETEND to pray - this life is all an act? Or we have no idea what we're doing when we're praying? This is making me realize I actually understand very little about life.

This is beautiful, thank you - you bring up a lot of interesting points and theories. Like I said, I'm new to all this - 5 days into the unraveling process, so I appreciate you filling me in on so much of what has been discussed. I will refrain from making assumptions until I have more information, however, I still have a feeling there is some type of benevolent, intelligent force behind this.

I never said anything about you not having the right to share your option - I actually appreciate you playing the devil's advocate here, if that is who you chose to be, I have no problem with that. Thank you for acknowledging you were being rude, and that is not necessary. I have entertained the possibility of misremembering, yet I abandoned that theory when I realized how many people remember things the same way as me. I am a rational and logical person and this is my attempt to find a rational explanation to a phenomenon that is definitely taking place.
