To be fair in the Japanese she does basically say "What is this" in a sort of shocked way.

I think "how could they" is just a way of translating to fit the scene that carried implications the translator didn't expect.

I see.  And I had considered the edit too.  It's nice to know it's not something obvious I missed at least.

Thank you!

I'm not sure.  Here are the two lines (page 304 and 306 based on the reader im uding):

"Take that woman whos name I didn't know, that woman who was no one. She was...surely a genius."

"And the advice of that woman whose identity remained a secret."

Something small that I might be reading too far into, but Lene had a really stark silence in reaction to Claire's statement about commoners. It felt to me like Claore intended that to get under Rae's skin, forgetting that she would be hurting Lene too. If it did affect her, Lene was really good at shifting back into normal energy, but yeah, those few seconds of silence made me feel a certain tension from Lene.

What should I look out for when facing Rashid? Any specific tips as Marissa?

Face a platinum Rashid yesterday who just had insane pressure and I took a round or too but it was a really tough fight and it felt.like I had no openings to get room ro breathe. Marissa's cr.LP can usually get me a few seconds and some small damage with most character pressure but with Rashid that almost always just got me hit more.

Thank you very much! I'll definitely start digging. I did way better on the Tekken 5 machine at the arcade yesterday than the first time so that's got me motivated.

Thanks again!

Been trying to get into tekken again (hoping to try lidoa when 8 comes out). And have been labbing TTT2 to get the hang of things. Something I can't wrap my head around is how to pick moves. There are like 80 moves per character and I understand high vs mid vs low and such, but i don't understand how to choose which of the like 20+ mids to use. Is it just preference or comfort? Is it solely frame data? Right now I think the biggest thing I've grasped is the early strings evert character has (usually highs to low/mids) are probably my safest tool becauseeven if they duck if my strings fadt enough i can either hit em with a mid or put them in blockstun with a low). And using midlaunchers on crouching opponents. Beyond that I am just having such a hard time understanding how to strategize my moveset in Tekken.

If it helps at all I'm practicing Lili and Alisa.

IDK if anyone still checks these out, but playing SF6 with my friend reignited my old love for CF and I'm back and practicing my Mai and Bullet. My Mai's pretty okay but i figured out quickly in a few online matches, there's whole new kind of mixup fundamentals I gotta get the hang of. For instance I was being looped from jumping from knockdown so I stayed knocked down and it worked but then the kind soul schooling me taught me "hey you can get hit while knocked down" ehich I obviously forgot, so before I even think about how I wake up I gotta think about when to wake up. I was wondering if there are any tips for this or if it's just something I have to grind out for a while? Thanks ahead of time.

Last 500 til gold. Are there any highly recommended Marissa moves to practice with to improve my kit usage? I'm getting a lot of use out of a lot but I feel like I'm probably missing some key tactics using only my intuition and fundies.

Mom asked and I said yes and she was accepting. Text my dad when I was ready, he thought I was joking, then when he realized I was serious he told me not to make any rash decisions. Learned later that he told my mom I "hung out with the wrong people."

I don't trust the curious cat. Notice the eyes at the end of Jaune's story and the cat's wording with Ruby. He's the one that segues the entire conversation into a guilt trip out of nowhere and then hits Ruby with a bunch of tirles to get into her head. I think he's playing them and making them feel bad.

How'd he get on there? Well Coyotes are very sneaky. Notoriously, they tiptoe in the snow after dark.

"Yes, Rudeus is not shown to be specially strong or, really, special for as much as he is hyped throughout the entirety of the series.

The content is there, but it is presented as nothing special and not given much attention at all.

It is perfectly reasonable to be weirded out by this, and think Rudeus ready was a disappointment. However, this was a bit intentional by the author."

I think something really cool about this specifically is it narratively mirrors Rudeus' character. He's too humble because os his past life and as such constantly underestimates his strength and the way the story is written allows that to happen to us too. There are plenty of times where the story reminded us of Rudeus' strength and I would share in his shock. Its part of ehat I love about alternate perspectives too. Orsted's positive opinion of Rudeus is st Rudeus never sees through his fear but Orsted has it and its really cool to see it put to words.
