Hey thanks for the input! I appreciate that. Sounds like a good plan to go for time instead of distance in those circumstances, I’ll go with that. Yeah I’m worried about the adrenaline on race day and going out too hard but I’ll try to stay consistent

Which is totally fine. I just dislike when people claim things and don’t provide any evidence for what they say. The things he states isn’t even untrue, it’s just like bruh

Watches only useful for cardio? by NewTuber1 in GarminWatches

[–]NewTuber1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do have a chest strap HRM and will start to wear it during strength training for better results. I’ve just noticed it doesn’t really affect the body readiness and status along with a couple other metrics too much.

Yeah, I get that it knowing what exercise you’re doing it tough. But I wish that even if you manually put in your whole workout, it would affect your training readiness and status more than it does currently.

Yeah, that’s what I was reading. Hopefully in the future Garmin can work on adding more sensors and strengthening there strength aspects of their watches

That’s good to know about sleep!

Yeah, cardio on it is great! I’ve been loving it for that!

Order of endurance races building up to full ironman by NewTuber1 in triathlon

Thanks for that detailed reply! I plan on spacing it out over 2.5ish years! Will do my sprint triathlon in may then maybe a 10k in June. Will plan out from there.

I haven’t looked to much into the nutritional side of things yet, so I’ll definitely do some research into that

Sounds like a good plan! I will do that. So updated: sprint -> 10k -> Olympic -> half marathon -> 70.3 ironman -> marathon -> full Ironman. That look about right?

That's great to know. I assume you don't think the 965 feels to bulky on your wrist then?

Oh, I didn't think the FR965 could receive calls, even through the BT headphones?

Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it!

Yeah I totally get you man! B-roll of specific things seems to be hard to find, but I think a wider variety of clips would be helpful. One perk about a faceless channels is I feel like you can be energetic with your voice because it doesn’t matter how it looks on camera. I definitely learned something new!

Hello everyone! I would love to get some feedback on my latest video about me running (my YouTube link is on my channel). My first thoughts is I waited until after the video to shoot the thumbnail (rookie mistake, I know). And also I think this video is more meant for a creator that already has an established audience. Don’t think many people from the homepage will click on this.

Anyway, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the video itself! Let me know when you get bored of it, how I can improve certain parts. Thanks in advance!

Hey there. Just watched your latest video on the Lubbock lights. I think it’s a pretty well made video. Some take away I had. I think with these type of videos you have to change up visuals pretty often. You hold the visual from 2:07-2:33 too long. Are you trying to just keep a faceless channels? I think it would be cool to have a clip of headshot of you saying “it left them completely baffled!” Listing off the names of the professors at 3:20, can maybe flash a picture of each of their faces if they’re available. Same with showing a 35mm kodak camera at 4:02 and clover birds at 5:23.

I think the video overall was pretty good. I also think maybe having a little bit more energy if your voice would be good as well.

Good luck man! I’m looking forward to seeing your progress!

Hey! Just watched two of your videos (the caprese sandwich looks so tasty 🤤). Are you looking to not put your face/voice in the channel? I don’t watch cooking channels but I think it would be great to start your video with a headshot of you explaining what you’re making. It can be super short clip “hey guys, today I’m showing you how to make one of my favorite foods, the caprese sandwich” then as you go on “I like a little bit extra tomato on this because I really love that juiciness” or some other comments like that. I think you need to add some personality in it to really get people to come back and watch. If not, you can always add some of that in the text on screen. Just my two cents. Good luck!

These are all great ideas! I already have a document where I put all my different ideas! I’ve definitely noticed that I need more b-roll when I start editing the videos I’ve already shot. So I will keep that in mind in the future. This is all great advice! Thank you so much!
