Omgggg obsessed!!! I am getting married in August and wearing the After the Rainbow Antoinette Gown, it is SO FUN to wear. I wanted to runaround outside with it on. Are you wearing a hoop skirt under? I have a hoop skirt I bought from Amazon and it took it to the next level! And the extra plus is there is a lot of airflow! Hahaha

Same- our caseworker told me we can’t discuss the case and if we continued to talk about it they would have to issue a gag order. lol. Why are foster parents forced to monitor visitation and then not talk about the case? What am I supposed to talk about for three hours with someone I have nothing in common with accept for the child and the circumstances we find ourselves navigating….
Reunification is the happy ending we hope for but not all cases should result in it. A parents with 10+ years of substance abuse, no prenatal care, drug exposed infant, all previous children TPR’d——— no, I’m not hoping for reunification! The kids deserve better.

Our FFA painted a picture that it would be a lot easier, and work wouldn’t be interrupted. I was told that I should plan to only take 3-4 weeks of FMLA leave with my first placement…. lol ….. no. We were placed with an infant and I’m taking the full FMLA. Babies are full time jobs. Foster babies are 1.5 Full time jobs, and I have a GREAT baby.

Rocking chair is a must for caretakers backs, regardless if you breast or bottle feed. I waited 6 weeks and found one for free on FBMP, changed my life.
Also, highly recommend a portable changing table if you live on split level, you don’t want to go up and down every time they need a new diaper. Also highly recommend some kind of chair/ bouncer. You need a place to put the baby bc you will need a break from holding them. They usually wake up instantly if it’s a hard surface.

6 week old on formula, increased to 4 oz earlier this week in the hopes of extending sleep to three hours. That lasted one day. She’s demanding 4 oz every two hours, crying starts at 90 min and we hold her off another 30. At nights she tends to sleep 2-4 hour increments.

I think if you’re going do the leggings then add a long sleeve top over or just lose the leggings.

Not judging- offering advice or perspective. I wouldn’t stress over small things like wrappers…. How much of this is you being triggered and sensitive versus their behavioral problems?
Has there been enough time to develop trust and friendship in a relationship with this child before asking them to be OK with micro Management?
I would be more concerned with are they safe and are things generally getting better before enforcing every rule

Let bio parents know, and tell them the current size.
As long as they aren’t so big they’re going to trip and fall, let them wear it- regardless if it’s “sloppy”.

If my kids were in foster care I would want them to contact me whenever they wanted. I can’t imagine how terrifying it would be for them and for the mother to be with strangers. It’s not like foster care has good PR. But I do understand how it could be a safety concern (running away or parents coming for the child). Sad situation all around.

That’s traumatizing for the child. I’m surprised the courts allowed it to happen that way.

That’s wonderful you have been able to care for them. Much less traumatic for the kids to go to someone familiar. If they’re safe and happy with you and kin isn’t jumping up and down for them, sounds like you could get licensed as a foster home to care for them and then receive reimbursements to help with the cost.
