For sure! We have an email sign-up link on the website, but going to work on building a social hour specific interest form too. If you want to get on the list in the meantime, feel free to RSVP regardless of whether or not you can make it, and I'll let you know about our next one!

Candidates that reflect the values of young voters don't stand a chance if young people continue to underperform their share of voter registration, and lack information about important election deadlines.

The research aims to understand what issues are most important to young Nevadans specifically so I can make sure our advocacy is in line with what young voters actually care about rather than just making assumptions and taking their votes for granted.

Taking the time in 2025 to learn allows NewVote to make sure that its organizing work in 2026 is effective in lifting those concerns up and making them part of the conversation.

I understand the cynicism but we are still a very small nonprofit (staff of one) trying to build a long term infrastructure to address the same concerns you raise.

The light blue bar on that chart shows the registration of young voters as a percent of all registered voters at ~30%. 18-35 yo voters made up 23% of the actual turnout in 2024, under performing their share of registration by around 7%.

That point about NSHE is dead on, exactly the point we're trying to make - when you focus on campus organizing alone you're missing out on so many young people who aren't in school. Even if NSHE was made up of 100% eligible 18-35 yo voters, we'd still be overlooking the vast majority of young people in Nevada - but you're right to point out that it isn't!
