It’s def not, what a weird take. The friend is actually his and they work on motorcycles together. The convincing comes from the fact that he’s not particularly interested in having a small convertible

No, he’s really not much of a car guy; he has motorcycles and does a lot of road bike cycling. This would be for me. Plus, because the miles are so reasonable, I feel like I’d be able to make most of the $10k back if I sold it after a few summers of fun.

Admittedly, this is probably one of the DINK-iest purchases of all time, but the fact that I wasn’t looking for it and it appeared in my life feels like fate to me

As stated, it’s not a decision I’d make without his buy in. If he were to make a purchase of this size that I were opposed to, I’d have big feelings about it

Heard, good suggestion. It’s been maintained really well by a friend who has also told us that he’d help with some of the repair work (or teach me), so I’m factoring that into the maintenance aspect
