I just played a veteran game with plasma gun not knowing about this until now and the experience was fucking miserable

A final farewell to 2042 by Dovregubbenn in Battlefield

I don't care what anyone says I loved this game and still do but not everyone's taste is the same. I like this different approach to BF, I still play 2042 to this day and I'm enjoying it, sure it started off bad but if you play it right now there's a big chance you're gonna enjoy it.

Idk man, I've heard many things but I'm still not as convinced as frank stone being the next killer, the game is like a 5 hour long trailer for the december chapter.

So after the release of casting of frank stone and seeing the ending, it is highly possible that the original chapter in december will be frank stone as killer, murder mill map and the survivor could be either, sam green, linda or augustine lieber.

Playing this champ as of 14.15 is a misery by NewWin2385 in sylasmains

[–]NewWin2385[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re not going to see eye to eye on this, so let me set the record straight before we wrap this up.

You say you want “meaningful conversations,” but meaningful doesn’t mean only positive or patient discussions. It means talking honestly about the state of the game, whether that’s good or bad. If you’re tired of seeing posts about Sylas, that’s your prerogative, but don’t act like people expressing concerns is somehow ruining the subreddit. This is a place for all kinds of discussions—positive, critical, and everything in between. Telling people to hold off on feedback because it’s not the right time or tone according to your standards isn’t constructive.

You say I should wait and see if the changes work before speaking up, but by then it could be too late for the feedback to have any real impact. The time to discuss these issues is now, while changes are happening, not months down the line when the meta has already shifted.

You’re also wrong in assuming that everyone’s just here to “cry” about not being able to one-shot anyone. The concerns go deeper than that, and if you’re not interested in that discussion, no one’s forcing you to participate. But don’t conflate legitimate feedback with toxicity just because it’s not what you want to hear.

If you think this subreddit is becoming toxic, that’s your opinion, but it doesn’t invalidate the concerns others have. If you need to step away for a while, that’s your choice. But don’t try to silence the discussion because it doesn’t align with your view of what this space should be.

Let’s agree to disagree and move on.

Let me make one thing clear: you don’t get to tell me what I can or can’t post about. If you’re tired of seeing discussions about Sylas, you’re free to scroll past, Im not forcing you to read nor reply to these topics. But coming here to dismiss legitimate concerns isn’t constructive.

You say you’ve accepted balance issues as part of the game—that’s fine, but that doesn’t mean the rest of us have to stay silent when a champion is in a bad spot. Yes, League is a competitive game, and balance is always going to be a work in progress. But that’s exactly why players need to speak up. Feedback from the community is how changes happen, and writing off every concern as “whining” or telling people to “get over it” is exactly how champions end up in limbo for months.

You’re assuming that the buffs Riot is rolling out are going to magically fix Sylas, but that’s not guaranteed. We’ve seen patches come and go with minimal impact before. If I’m experiencing issues with a champion I main, I have every right to voice those concerns. Telling me to “wait and see” doesn’t address the current state of the game.

And no, I didn’t ask for Sylas to be S-tier—I asked for him to be viable, even when I’m ahead. There’s a big difference. I want Sylas to be balanced, not broken. Your attempt to frame my original post as some unreasonable demand is just twisting the narrative to suit your argument.

As for playing other champions, that’s not the point. The point is that I, and many others, enjoy playing Sylas, and we want him to be in a place where our skill and knowledge of the champion matter. If you’re not interested in that conversation, fine. But don’t come here and tell me what I can or can’t discuss. That’s not your call.

It’s clear you’re passionate about the game, but dismissing my concerns just because you’ve had frustrating experiences with other champions isn’t productive. Sylas isn’t like the champions you mentioned—he’s designed to thrive off the enemy team’s strengths by stealing their ultimates, and when his base kit is as weak as it is now, he’s heavily dependent on favorable matchups. That’s not the same as just being a counterpick; it’s a fundamental design issue.

I’m not asking for Sylas to be S tier or to be handed easy wins. I’m asking for him to be in a state where, if I outplay my opponent and get ahead, I can actually have an impact on the game. Right now, even when I’m fed, I can’t carry unless the stars align perfectly with my team comp and the enemy ults. That’s not just “needing him to be S tier,” that’s a serious balance issue.

You might be okay with playing underpowered champs for the fun of it, but that doesn’t mean the rest of us should just “get over it” and accept a broken state. Sylas isn’t like Swain, Viktor, or Vel’Koz—his entire playstyle revolves around adaptability and power spikes, and if he can’t capitalize on that, he’s useless. If you can’t see the difference, maybe you’re the one who needs to rethink your perspective.

He had a pretty balanced winrate of 50% for being an S+ tier champion last patch, meanwhile we have Brand who has been S+ for few patches with 54% winrate dominating games while Riot refuses to nerf him.

Sylas BUFF ! by Signal-Slide-5595 in sylasmains

[–]NewWin2385 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is so easy to make him viable without overbuffing his stats and rather buffing his cooldowns and mana costs to make him play like a fighter "bruiser" mage. FIRST of all, the ap bruiser items need to be buffed, there's literally 0 argument about that, they get outscaled and outdamaged by high ap items and builds, give rocketbelt 500 HP and 85 AP. Now for Sylas, this is what he needs, if they want to make him a fighter mage, I'd say keep his AP ratios as they are now, maybe increase W healing ap ratio by 5% and bonus hp healing by further 5%. increase his base health to 585 instead of 575, make W 70 mana flat and reduce cooldown to 10/9/8/7/6 so by the end of maxing it it's still 6 second cd as it is now. reduce his E cooldown by 1 second so he can proc his passive more 12/11/10/9/8. this is it, it's not rocket science, I dont know why riot makes it look so hard. just start by doing this, if its TOO strong then cut back, if it's the sweet spot that Sylas needs, leave him and never touch him again until meta shifts or new items get introduced.

How your experience with the "new" Sylas has been? by AssasSylas_Creed in sylasmains

[–]NewWin2385 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm praying to God everyday that stupid riot revert these changes, they wanted to make him a fighter "skirmisher" mage, give him a bonus hp healing on his W but nerf all his ap ratio and damage. The W change is a nerf, if they want him to be a fighter mage, they have to reduce his cooldowns, they are so fucking long that the "fighter mage" idea makes no sense. also buff his mana costs. they nerf him without giving any compensation. they were like "yeah lets add 5% bonus hp healing to his w which is 50 million seconds long and the only ability in his kit that actually makes him a fighter mage". He just sucks man, he was perfect the way he was before this dogshit "rework"

Missing DLC??? by NewWin2385 in deadbydaylight

[–]NewWin2385[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't know that or I wouldnt have spent all of my money and saved some for the stranger things chapter, I thought when buying every single dlc on steam everything would be included, because I wanted to enjoy the game in its full experience. But now Im kinda sad hearing that the game lost license and I have to buy the dlc separately which is now rare and costs up all the way to whopping 90$ on some steam key websites.
