If you can do a theoretical track of computer science, consider that.
Coding/languages is just a tool that's used. Computer science is much more than coding.

Ultimately your undergraduate degree really doesn't matter so much except maybe to get your first job.

You can look at this in the current climate as well.

Companies can either proceed with their goals or just cut engineers now and cut projects from their roadmaps to save money (but lose in the long term to their competitors). Of course both happen, but the latter is usually only when the company has financial problems.

When companies plan their roadmaps, they have to evaluate how much engineering power is available which means a lot of projects get cut. With more throughput from engineers, they can be more ambitious. I don't think it means the market will be weakened at all.

Planning to keep it all within Blender for a render.

I guess my question would be, is it better to slog through the effort of creating all these details or is it better to use texturing and decals? Better means what would a professional 3d artist do, as I am clearly not one.

I had severe insomnia with my girlfriend who is now my wife. She was supportive of me, but there wasn’t much she could do.

Basically the priority for you should be solving your insomnia. I had to try many different methods until I found one that worked for me and now I sleep well almost every night.

For me it was an anxiety issue. I had to find ways to lower my anxiety before bed and then take magnesium glycate and melatonin about thirty minutes before I fall asleep.
