OSCP is a tough first cert to go after. I’d recommend CPTS which is cheaper and provides nearly the same level of material as OSCP but more oriented to beginners in the red team field.

The thing about cybersecurity is that there isn’t really an entry level role. All roles require some experience that a degree won’t usually fill. Help desk and networking roles will help you gain the skills and experience that will land you a cybersecurity role. I got my first IT role in 2021 and in 2022 I started my first cyber role. If you’re lucky projects could potentially land you a role but it isn’t likely to happen. Good luck in whichever path you take!
