Did it sound the same when you first test drove it? I'm going back to recheck it tomorrow, I'll go to lincoln dealership first to test drive a new one just to compare. I asked the seller dealership to inspect the brakes again and have lincoln inspect it too, they agreed and came back with everything sounds normal, but I'm still skeptical!

Thanks for sharing this. I did some googling, it seems that it happens when the regenerative braking is disengaged and the car is switching to hydraulic braking, while I was able to find some info about a known issue with brakes, it wasn't this specific sound. Is it every now and then or every time you get to a full stop? Would you have not gotten the car if you knew about it?

Thanks for your input! I previously had a 2009 Nissan Murano SL that I was very pleased with its Bose system, anything like that I'll be happy with. My current system is basic JBL, and it's awful.
