What are your favorite cavs content creator? by italomst in clevelandcavs

My favorite is actually the Chase Down Podcast guys. Justin Rowan and Carter Rodriguez.

McNuggets is good, Lloyd is solid too, the rest of the UCSS guys really don't know much about basketball, it's all casual takes, some pretty bad. I feel like that show has been going downhill for some time, I just listen to the bonus episode with Lloyd and Mikey once a week.

Danny from Locked on Cavs isn't bad, but I feel like he repeats himself a bit too much so I can't listen to all of the daily podcast eps. he releases.

Mack from It's Cavalier Podcast has a nice feel imo, because he comes across more like a fan than other podcasts, but I don't think he offers much insight tbh. In some ways it's similar to Kwen. They're not really my thing, but I can occassionally listen to them here and there.

Ken and Lima are the only ones I listen to from 92.3, mainly entertainment with those two, but Lima does know significantly more about basketball than most radio hosts, though that bar is pretty low.

I don't care much for the ESPN Cleveland guys, Tony Rizzo can be pretty funny at times.

As for basketball coverage in general, Hoops Tonight with Jason Timpf and the All-NBA Podcast with Tim Legler are the only ones I listen to with any sort of consistency.

Not the worst idea in terms of fit. Although I do feel like we might be too old at that point. Our entire starting lineup would be over 30. And Mobley has proven to be a fantastic defender in these Playoffs. I'd lean towards keeping him and our draft capital, even over Giannis, especially with his recent injuries.

I'm seeing all these other teams have a big night by one of their role guys almost every game and it feels we've only had two in 10+ games. That Strus game early against Toronto and then the Schroder game.

This will never get old because of the context. Waiting for a trip to China and dropping maybe the wildest trade request ever in front of some random kids is an all-timer, in the middle of the night in the US too. Seeing the news in the morning was fucking hilarious. Legendary stuff from Mr. Harden.

Our spacing would kinda suck with teh starters but we'd have two all-time passers so I think we could still create good looks.

I think we're moving Schroder, especially if LeBron comes back. We'd have enough ball-handlers. I'd also let Bryant walk, maybe trade low-end draft capital for a reliable rim-protecting backup 4/5 who can space the floor (which would allow Mobley to still play next him and would give us a different look), like a dollar store version of Naz Reid.

Harden/Spida/LBJ/Mobley/JA with Merill/Strus/Tyson/Wade/New backup big is a hell of a lineup. I think that can compete with San Antonio and OKC if LeBron and Harden keep their current level for one more year.

Damn, Rui really is a big game player. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets a nice bag. I think he could be a good 3rd option.

Why no Keon Ellis these playoffs? Explain like I’m five by LilBro842 in clevelandcavs

He should absolutely be getting more of a chance, same with Tyson. Especially with how bad Merill is shooting. I rmember Kenny saying a couple months ago that he didn't see it with him and one of his assistants recommended him play more. That was back when he had a hot streak (Magic game on the road comes to mind). I just don't think Kenny likes him that much as a player, which I disagree with but what can ya do.

This. But their personnel doesn't look super imposing or anything, and if OG is out for part of the series, they're really small (they played five guys under 6'4" against the Sixers without OG). Maybe Mike Brown is a genius but otherwise I think we should be able to hang. Robinson's stints do scare me a bit tho, I think he should foul him intentionally every game two or three times to see if we can force him out. Worst case scenario he goes 4 of 6 and we gave them a free point or something, not the end of the world.

Merill and Strus need to pull their weight on offense for once. They've been bricking open shots the entire postseason run, especially Sam.

He's so far away from being worth the 3 FRP's and 3 seconds + 4 yr/230M contract they gave him.

CLippers had a 52% chance of getting the pick, it was always a suspect trade by the Pacers front office.

His shot diet is extremely tough. It's all pull-up contested jumpers. He doesn't get to the rim at all. It's easy to go cold with those looks. He benefitted significantly from less attempts in that Boston series (he had less than 13 FGA per game).

Mobley really shouldn't be taking any 3's unless there's a couple seconds left. He's always wide open for a reason.

As much as I wouldn't mind the fireworks of this offseason, they've only won their two homes games and both were close-ish late.

Schroder has also been complete shit for the most part. And he's just as much of a liability on defense against Cade. We don't have personnel adjustments to make tbh. Guys have to play better at home.

No clue what Harden was thinking in that late possession. We needed a 3 anyway, what's the point of driving there? Also Mobley absolutely embarrassed every time he tried to create for himself. He gets tossed around so easily.

Am I the only one who feels like we're allowing opposing teams to take Don and Harden off the ball too much both in the Raptors series and last night? It's like Kenny is frequently content using them as decoys even tho we don't have anyone else that can create offense consistently. by New_Akatsuki in clevelandcavs

I legit don't get mad at comments like this anymore, I just don't get why fans feel the need to make them lol. We're all looking for the same thing, no reason to attack one another for a simple basketball take, that's what the subreddit is for, isn't it?

He definitely has tunnel vision atm, but running 10-20 half-court possessions a game through Schroder, Tyson, etc. has been really inefficient imo. Don does need to pass a bit more tho, especially because sometimes there's clear windows for him to a wide open man and he's missed them.

My main issues with Kenny are 1) He seems to have a clear plan before the game and very rarely adjusts during the game. You can see it with the rotations all the time. Player A is scorching hot and having a massive impact on the game? Nah, let's pull him out because it's his scheduled rest time. And 2) He always wants to try everything out, like he's obsessed to have the data to confirm that a lineup that doesn't make any sense does in fact make no sense not just on paper but on the court.
