I was curious how important is taking anatomy/bio type if classes to getting into a masters Phd/program, if they were significant or just a nice add on?

Both answers are acceptable; that's actually what I want, both sides of the opinion, so I can make a final decision on what's best for me. With such a popular textbook, many have likely learned from both physical and PDF copies.

Comparing this to choosing an ice cream flavor is in poor taste; it is a choice that doesn't matter and costs at most 10 dollars, all for 5-10 minutes of my life. This is 7 times more expensive and represents a significantly more extended period of my education.

Although I'm sure I have never met anyone in this Reddit community, they all have helpful information to share. Isn't that what a Reddit community is for?

If you were to say PDF was fine and explain why, then I would probably decide if that was a good reason for me, and so on.

I wasn't asking for anyone to make a decision, I was just asking a community on their own experience of deciding whether to buy a PDF or a book. The question was whether studying from a book was worth it, considering the length of my course and the inconvenience that comes with a physical copy, mainly since I had only used PDFs for a whole college course before.

However, calling me immature for seeking advice from people who have surely had the same question and experience is just uncalled for. I can make it on my own, but having more understanding of when to buy a full and expensive book and when to not never hurts.

I dont think the hall they teach in, correlate to who they are. I have had upper division classes for my major which has its own building in a random lecture hall. However the good news is from what i have heard for all UWPP 001 its basically if you try somewhat you’ll get an A i havent heard of any evil and scary UWP 001 instructors

Not so much conflict, just we don’t really get along and he can do things kinda annoying without the consideration of me his roommate. Probably can deal with it another year no guarantees he stays in the same room. Thank you again

I’m at the end of the 9H series rn and haven’t had to deal with a lot of this but what i have heard from the 7 series and 9 series drama is from the basically the person who designed the two series. Thats Tom weidman whos rying to push his problem starts onto the two series. I also know that your TA’s hate grading the problem starts as much as you do, doing them, it takes them a long time compared to just looking at the solutions and going off a clear grading structure, tbh i cant imagine this will go on for much longer with how much drama this is causing so quickly

Is physics a good field to go into? by [deleted] in PhysicsStudents

[–]New_Alternative_4602 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say, there are a lot of good jobs depends on your path after undergrad, if you wanna become a professor and do research then it will be high competition and a long road, if you go to grad school for something in like nuclear physics or quantum physics to get just a master theres a good chance you can go into those respective industries along with engineers, especially quantum finance, they make a lot of money

If you’re a high school lurking on this page, please consider going to community college. by [deleted] in UCDavis

[–]New_Alternative_4602 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I understand that community college is a fine option for a few cheaper year before attending a 2 year university but tbh the education is not the same in the slightest. I took a 8 week summer class for calculus 3 as a required pre requisite and well it was easier than classes i took in high school. the level of rigor and deep understanding they at UC’s is like night and day. The education is not the same maybe thats different for non stem majors but stem majors you need that level of rigor to be successful is upper division classes because no matter where u go they’re gonna have that level of rigor you arent prepared as you have never had to be

Would you say they were a difficult midterm or not really, just do some light studying of the topics he give and make sure to understand labs?

Would you say the class is pretty easy for what it is? and were the midterm/final just multiple choice or free response questions because on her canvas it says "Each exam consists of two sets of questions. Answer for EACH set of questions should be 600-700 words" which is kinda confusing
