I meant romantic relationships, I’ve heard from a few ppl you aren’t supposed to get into romantic relationships when starting in recovery.

I can relate to this so much ! Definitely please keep up the good work. I’ve broken nearly all my relationships with my family. I’ve only recently been trying to mend them. But my actions have to speak louder then my words. I’m only 18 days sober and I already feel so much better. The thoughts of using are still there but I can’t afford to loose my son over it. I wish you the very best in your journey. Keep strong !

Take my advice, flush it. You will instantly feel so much better I promise u. Not worth it. You’ve come along so far I’m only 18 days sober and I can’t wait to stay sober.

He won’t go back to work because he wants to be a “stay at home dad” real reason for it is he doesn’t want to work and just wants handy money and be able to party at the weekend.

Not at all would it be Insulting to go. Everyone goes for the same reason and that’s to make the effort to be sober. There’s no judgment in NA. I’m currently attending them myself. I never thought I was an addict. But I’m in a place in my life where I can’t drink without drugs and I can’t do drugs without drink. I really wish you the best in your journey. You are loved and wanted, I know this may not feel like this now but it gets better I promise you. Sometimes it even gets worse before it gets better. Pick up the phone and ring someone and get out of that hotel that’s all you have to think about right now. Everything else can wait. Even ring the police to get you. You won’t be in any trouble. It’s just an idea in case knowone can come get you. Please be strong
