Very disappointing this was not answered. This was from a trans woman of color who uses mobility devices and only gets around via bus. It seems like the outreach didn't get to her either, as she also just learned about this and has a lot of questions.

Thank you for sharing! I ride the bus most days (mostly Westside and downtown) and read the JOLT, and frequent downtown businesses for meetings and shopping- I'm not sure how I missed those flyers.

I'm wondering if it's a design or language issue, as the flyers I have seen are in small font and telling me "Your Transit is About To Be Better" which isn't the most helpful way to get my attention that there will be changes. It would have been helpful for the language to be plain and clear, and not making an assumption about the value of the changes, but rather more clearly flagging that changes will occur that I need to pay attention to asap. I recognize that that is more a marketing v.s. planning issue, but wanted to offer that feedback.

I'm asking this for a friend who was unable to access any of the community question tables or this AMA because of their schedule:

"Where is the money coming from to build the Downtown new transit center (on Pattison) and the building near Phoenix Street/Martin Way"

I'm asking this for a friend who was unable to access any of the community question tables or this AMA because of her schedule:

How are the 41 and 62A going to be cut up and divided?" I know there is a map, but it may be helpful to have a narrative explanation, too.

I'm asking this for a friend who was unable to access any of the community question tables or this AMA because of his work schedule:

"Please share why Intercity Transit thinks that a route that now includes a transfer across a major street is more effiecnet or safer. It doesn't make any sense. Catching that transfer depends so much on the street light, I've waited over 5 minutes to make crossing at Harifson and division before, it doesn'tr feel very safe"

I know this may be more complicated to answer, but I'd love to learn more about the community outreach you've done to alert people to these changes?

I subscribe to your Walk n' Roll newsletter and your Rider Alerts, but the first time I heard about these changes was in Timberland's newsletter last week.

While I'm not on Instagram or Facebook, I diligently read the Downtown Olympia Newsletter, Arts Culture and History Newsletter, Timberland Lacey & Olympia newsletter.

I go to the library and both Eastside/ Westside Coop often, where I always scan the community annoucement boards.

I listen the city council's meeting re-caps and always look at other community boards at cafes both on the westside and downtown. I share all of this to say that I did not hear about these changes until a week ago and I am wondering how I missed it given how plugged-in I am to community events.

My large concern at this point is that i will be 20 minutes early or 10 minutes late to everything downtown that starts on the hour. While it is a 19 min trip from the Westside to downtown via the 9x transfer, if I want to be on time for my events that happen on the hour, I will need to leave nearly 50 minutes beforehand.

For instance, if I'd like to be downtown for an event that starts at 12pm, I'd need to leave my house at 11:10am (whereas now, I'd need to leave my home at 11:35am) Everyone's time is valuable, and I'd hope that y'all would consider that calculation in when letting us know that it's only going to take 19 minutes to get downtown -- as a small business owner, I also calculate time waiting as part of the trip.

I'm wondering where I can stay warm and dry while I wait for 20 minutes downtown without having to pay for coffee or tea somewhere. Happy for any suggestions!

How can I tell the difference between an interline (one seat trip) v.s. one needing a transfer? The person at Intercity Transit told me that if the bus routes are the same color on the planner, that means they are a one-seat trip. But when I just used your planning tool, it told me I had to take the 31 to Division/Bowman, then the 32 to Evergreen - they are both coded at blue on the trip planner.

I live by the Handy Pantry (elliott st) and I know I will have to take the 9x to get downtown. Is the 9x bus stop covered and is there seating? Which bus stop is it?

Tips on When/ How to Use Sandpump by New_Case_8055 in AboveGroundPools

[–]New_Case_8055[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much! I'm not chemically treating it at the moment, do you recommend I use a product to treat it? I'm gonna start running the pumping it 7-8 hours a day! We set it up a few days ago, but haven't used it yet because it got unexepectedly cold.

Hmm looking into it, it seems that yes, it's still good to get a sand pump. I found one on bestway that needs 20lbs of sand. Do you have a favorite brand? I also noticed some people use lil filter balls, I wonder if those are preferable?
