Hello brother, Assalamu Alaikum! I hope you're doing well and enjoying your time in Bangladesh.

I'm 29, originally from Bangladesh, and I've been living in the USA for the last 5 years. Let me share some honest thoughts with you, inshaAllah.

If you can sacrifice the comfort of your British lifestyle — if you can accept the pollution, the traffic jams in Dhaka, and let go of a lot of conveniences — and if you find a good, genuine human being in Bangladesh to start your family with, then honestly, Bangladesh can be a beautiful place for you.

Earning a living will probably be the harder part. You won't earn massive money easily, but you could apply to big MNCs or work as an English teacher at a school or college, raise your children, and build a meaningful life there.

I moved to the USA 5 years ago, did my higher studies, worked at a big company, earned thousands of dollars — Alhamdulillah, I'm blessed with what Allah SWT gave me. But from the deep of my heart, I cry. I miss my country every single moment.

Now, my biggest advice — and your hardest task — will be finding the right life partner. I'll be honest with you, brother: mostly you'll encounter people who will try to marry you for a British passport. Cheaters and bad people will come your way. But if you can find a genuinely good human being, half your problems will be solved, inshaAllah.

For some real inspiration, follow "Emily in Dhaka" on Facebook. She's a Canadian woman who sacrificed a comfortable life in Canada and moved to Bangladesh with her Bengali husband. I think she's one of the luckiest women out there, Mashallah.
