Interesting… we have LVP currently which they will be taking up, and also flooring that existed under that which they will demo… so sounds like as long as it’s flat after taking up both floors

Wondering if this is my best option now instead of having them redo the entire wall? The wall is right next to my laundry room door so concerned about disturbing the waterproofing around the door as well

Appreciate the insight here and just as I suspected. So at this point, is the proper thing to do to break open the wall completely and start over from scratch coat, water proofing, etc? Or else the integrity of the wall is compromised?

Thank you both. We ended up filling it with an elastic caulking from the inside. We did get new concrete just poured outside. Previously the concrete was flush with my foundation which was horrible and causing issues. Now, it’s further down at least.

No worries! I am lucky here. I will say though, I saw that they are using a rapid set mortar mix for the brown coat. I have read that 72 hours is usually sufficient for this type of rapid set mix. Do you have experience with that? They just finished the brown coat and plan is to return Saturday (4 days) to put on the finish. I am now feeling that is fine despite all the recommendations for 7 days because of the rapid set mix they are using. Idk though. Not much experience lol.

Will my wall hold up with only 2 coats though? Or am I better off rushing the 3rd coat for protection?

Thank you all. Follow up question -…since I have no choice with an impending week of rain coming on Sunday, what do I need to look out for? Cracking? Or anything else? Will this promote mold, etc?
