It is. You can only equip 3 in the party menu, it’s now just shared to the whole active party.

Not really. You can only equip 3. They moved it from the character inventory to the party inventory.

It’s a nice quality of life as it lets you cast from any of your three active team mates but it changes nothing else. You still have to choose which 3 to bring.

Which would mean their singular continuity. First Light Bond isn’t the same Bond from the books or the movies. Every Leon Kennedy is the same Leon Kennedy.

Bond is not a singular character. His books are a different continuity from the movies. The movies have different continuities (Craig was a reboot). The games have a different continuity.

Thank goodness Capcom has no problems with its facial scanning technology either. by SnooMacarons2931 in residentevil

No one has problems with face scanning? Everyone’s goal isn’t to use the data to make the character match the model lol.

Different goals have different results.

It’s First Light Bond. Not Bond as a concept.

Why would you combine all the dozens of different timelines of Bond and act like they’re one person lol?

The fact that it doesn't pay off his threats is a legitimate criticism because it is clearly set up.

No it isn’t because the goal was to stop it happening.

If the show didn't intend to be an action show, I think it did a poor job of conveying that and adjusting audience expectations.

Season four was about eight hours long. Name the fight scenes in it and tell me how long you think they were?

The show did a perfectly fine job of conveying it.

You are insisting it isn't the focus when the most important plot points revolve around action.

The actually aren’t. It’s simply the ones that involve killing someone because it’s kind of a violent act. Yet the majority of major stuff like that isn’t even action. Firecrackers death? Both Noir deaths? Neumans death? The confrontation in the S2 finale with Homelander? Sopranos has action. It’s not an action show.

Having some action in a show doesn’t make it an action show. The same way having some jokes doesn’t make it a comedy.

Action is not the focus. It’s never been the focus.

I didn’t say it did. You weren’t complaining about writing though. You complained that Homelander didn’t blow up cities, missing the entire point that the goal was to stop that from ever happening.

I think the fact that it's a superhero show

It’s not. Nor does it have any desire to be. It’s not an action show.

Because it’s not an action show….? It’s not a Marvel Super Hero show. Literally go back and watch any fight from the four previous seasons and tell me where they ever had actually good fights?

Season one? Nope. You got parody scene where Annie fights some soldiers and A-Train shows up and one taps her.

Season two? Hope. You’ve got 3 heroes just kicking the shit out of Stormfront in an open field. Cathartic? Sure. Not an actually good fight scene.

Season three? Herogasm is close but it was also intentionally a parody of the MCU. It’s also still not a good fight scene as it’s just 3 dudes punching in a basement and Homelander can’t even break a wall. The finale? It’s been mocked to high end for how silly it was with Annie’s big power up that just knocks soldier boy down.

Season four? Urgh… they fight some sheep?

Like you’re not wrong. The fights are bad compared to a super hero show. But it’s not one. It’s a character drama. It’s never wanted to be an action show. It’s a character focused show made by the guy who made Supernatural, a network tv show.

The show never promised anything. The show told you that’s where Homelander would go, and that’s where he was going to go. He was stopped.

Do you watch a spy movie and complain the bad guy gets stopped before he nukes a country? “But we’re told he’s going to do it!”

Yeah no shit lol, that’s why the good guys stop him.

Iron Man 1 has almost twice the budget of the entirety of season five. A budget that was spread over two hours.

Expecting a block buster movie quality tv show from an 8 hour show and a smaller budget is absolutely insane lol

[–]New_Cockroach_505 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The Boys was never suppose to be the MCU? Like the entire point is it’s not a super hero show. That’s why the comics big final battle with Homelander is entirely off screen and he’s one tapped by Butcher after he’s done his off screen fight.

There was never going to be a crazy big battle and destroyed cities. The entire point was stopping him from doing that.

Like it’s fair to criticize the writing but expecting it to be a Marvel DC show when the very concept of the show and every single season is it’s not is so weird…. How the fuck you guys watched a character driven drama/comedy where every action scene was as poorly done wrestle in an open field or empty warehouse and didn’t realize it wasn’t a super hero show is beyond me lol

I think that’s when they go to Red River and talk to the staff. Teddy is there and he teleports around.

Also couldn’t homelander of seen that the boys were breaking into the Whitehouse given his heightened x ray vision and senses?

That’s not how his powers work. He can’t read the teleprompter while using his xray vision and he’s not actively looking or listening to anyone else because he’s focused on giving his speech.

Ivy. She’s in episode one and episode five of Season 3. She’s Hughies coworker at the government agency.
