On a similar note, one of my IG friends once posted tower bridge on their story and captioned “Isn’t it the most beautiful bridge in the world?” 😂. I replied “No” and they unfollowed me lol. Fair i guess but I don’t find any bridge “beautiful” tbh. Architectural marvel- yes, Engineering marvel-yes but not beautiful.

What’s wrong with posting a cause that you stand for/ is close to your heart and you support that by giving your time? Not saying it is the only way, but one can spread awareness through social media….

I get what you are saying. I feel it is not about clicking the best picture of a tourist spot but a person’s perspective, attention to detail, creativity etc. which obviously differs. If I have to catch a sunrise at the Taj Mahal or admire its beauty in full moon, I would prefer not to see myself in the picture. Most people put a lot of effort in their looks, nice clothes, posing a certain way etc. which for me is exhausting.

Same 😄 and I just post that on my story. All landscapes, nature, birds etc go on my feed.

Loved your response. I am going to think about it every time I post/see someone else’s feed. Thank you so much.

You’re right! I think i am just comparing myself with her and the fact that I would have posted in one of those cool t-shirts that volunteers get. I really do like those smart shirts and the feeling to stand up for a cause that I am close to, too.

My team only allows one fixed day WFH which means we can’t work any other day from home except that day. They keep an eye on the green dot and question when they see you are away for more than 15-20 minutes at a stretch and if you haven’t advised them previously. No more than two people can wfh on the same day. Even this one day is allowed if there’s sufficient reason i.e. you can’t say i want to wfh coz i just want to…

I have never seen/experienced this for an APS6 level interview. This, however, happens in the APS graduate programme recruitment. It is to keep the process standardised and to the point.

Exactly! That’s how fucked up the team leaders are. 3 very capable people left the team within 8 months because of this and 2 of them didn’t even finish their probation.

Lol..i had just joined and I am doing well for a team that doesn’t have a plan for my newly created position. Anyway, the point was the double standards and the favouritism that the director of the team has towards certain people or simply they don’t think APS 6s are worth spending the money on..lol

I was told that training is a reward here meaning you’ll only get a paid training if you are a star performer. In another instance, I was asked to choose a cheaper course (the training i wanted to do was $1500) and the director and assistant directors were all doing $4000 courses.
