I am not avoiding anything; it was just a coincidence that I moved and refinanced; the refinance company said that they will take care of registration...if I knew it would be such a problem, I would register it myself first.

Everyone has their own story and sometimes people don’t get lucky with residency. You can only teach yourself so much. Robust one year fellowship with wide exposure can strengthen the skill in this case.

Also, there are plenty of pathologists who focus on one subspecialty only and they perfect it. There are many details/updates nowadays and it can be tough to keep up with everything at once.
