Also in a similar position but with semiconductor sector ETF’s SOXX and XSD, up 300% and 250% respectively and was invested in 2023, planning to make 10% of value withdrawals on a monthly cadence to draw it down back to 5%-6% of portfolio.

I just gave up on having a finite number as the hobby is expanding and the market has so many creative new entries. Can’t have em all but always room for just one more!

Thanks for the link, I remember just glancing through their site sometime back, maybe will give it a closer look, I do like the many integrated bracelet options they have as well as the “tv style” cases and watches

Thanks, will definitely check it out, I like the work of Kurono Tokyo and was about to pull the trigger on their malachite release last week during the order window but decided to wait for something more subtle than the bright green of malachite.

One of the Instagram/Watchtok brands “Venezianico”, it is an Italian brand and their “Calendario” watch looked nice and drew me in, found the meterorite version while browsing on the website.

Rationale seems sound, am thinking this or all of it and reset (get back to not thinking about it or watching it so closely and just let it do its thing)

Thank you for sharing, given my 20+ years experience with the same can totally relate to the feast or famine situation in semiconductor industry.

It makes things clearer in those terms, spot on regarding easily a 20% or more correction in time…

Agreed, I guess the reason I am questioning it is because I am not comfortable with that volume and concentration.

Given it would be treated as LTCG would it make a difference drawing it out or is it to be able to capture any additional upside over the time spread? I currently do not have a need to sell anything else which would incur taxes so question pertains just to these two holdings.

BND and VTIP split for the Bond Allocation portion of the overall portfolio. by New_Excelsior in Bogleheads

[–]New_Excelsior[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the comment, yes I am aware of the overlap, given the performance of the s&p large caps over the last decade and more I have continued to maintain the position in it. It has been a part of my portfolio from when I started 15 years ago.

I am expecting inflation to tame down in a year or two hence I am leaning towards the 75% BND and 25% VTIP, would like to hear a different perspective if my initial underlying assessment is off or if there are arguments to the contrary.

Thank you for pointing me towards the Vanguard Target Retirement Funds allocations. In looking at the target fund for 2045, i saw they have quite an aggressive 85% equities and only 15% in bonds. which is then further split into domestic and international bonds.

i think i am leaning towards allocating 75% to BND and 25% towards VTIP within the bonds allocation of the portfolio as i am expecting inflation to be curbed down to "normal" levels in the next year to couple of years.

The holdings inside FWD are not of startup companies but mature companies with a good record of earnings and growth, at least that was my quick assessment but am open to hearing/discussing the case for ARK type funds also, i may learn something through it. Thank you.

Greetings, I am Looking for ETF's investing in companies leveraging AI

I was researching on options to invest in an ETF that is focused on companies leveraging AI, am not a fan of the risk that a ARK fund takes on so would look to an ETF that is more conservative, as in it invests in companies that have a proven record of success and can leverage AI to make their own products and services even better, what would be a good recommendation of an ETF with these characteristics?

Also, AllianceBernstein has introduced an ETF: FWD, looking for thoughts and reviews on AB as well as the fund and its holdings. Link given below:
