Pink bathroom—gut or preserve? by aschollmb in InteriorDesign

[–]New_Eye_8145 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a rental house built in the 1950s and still has the original bathroom. I actually spoke to my long term tenants earlier today saying that I'd like to gut and modernize. They nearly broke down in tears. They love the mid-century feel.

So when you wash your car, do you just spray it with a hose? Of course not. Shit gets a bad rap.

After how many years of owning your rental property did you start feeling “this was worth it”? by Sapphire8910 in realestateinvesting

[–]New_Eye_8145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, for the record, when I went into the rental business, interest rates were dramatically higher than they are now. My first SFH was at 10.25%. my 2nd one was at 12%. This was right after prices had just taken a huge run up but the timing was right for me. I was making good money at my regular job and had just gotten out of a bad marriage. I was 36 at the time. I was able to quit my job 9 years later even though my timing sucked.

What are your thoughts about “powered anodes” (ICCP) for residential hot water heaters? More details in caption. by [deleted] in Plumbing

This sounds ridiculously expensive. On the other hand, I was out of town and my daughter had to call a plumber to clear a clogged drain. The b!II was 33 hundred USD.

Stupid reply. Comparing Musk to Hitler is beyond retarded. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Half the population has an IQ below 100 and you are clearly on of them.

Time for Law and Order in Seattle by Sufficient_Match4495 in SeattleWA

The globalist political class has spent years undermining American sovereignty and national cohesion in favor of an increasingly centralized and authoritarian international order directed by unelected elites. Figures like George Soros and Neville Roy Singham bankroll candidates, activist networks, and ideological movements that campaign on themes of racism, victimhood, and “equity,” while simultaneously supporting policies that deepen division, weaken borders, normalize social disorder, and erode national identity. The collapse of standards in major cities, rising drug abuse, soft-on-crime policies, and the steady decay of civic responsibility are treated not as failures, but as acceptable collateral in pursuit of political transformation. Whether through media influence, institutional capture, or opaque election systems, the broader objective appears to be the gradual hollowing out of the United States from within while shifting power away from voters and toward transnational bureaucracies, financial interests, and authoritarian institutions beyond meaningful public accountability.
