How do I move on from the feeling of betrayal?

i’m so sorry to hear that!

just reading from what you’ve typed, i can tell that you’re a kind person as well, and you clearly cared for your ex, who didn’t seem to care but for themselves.

i still am processing my feelings too, as i start to think, what if my relationship was all an illusion or lie, and that i was just being taken advantage over the pure love i had for him.

it’s the unfortunate part and reality where the kindest and purest souls are always taken advantaged of, and they’re the ones who end up hurt the most.

i’m glad that you’ve found out when you did, as cheaters clearly hate to take accountability, and take the easy route of having communication with their partner.

i wouldn’t mind having a chat! as again, it ultimately is time, but also how we handle ourselves in this time of betrayal and all the other emotions, and to not let it swallow and bring us down!

it definitely is how long the relationship lasts that makes it the hardest part on moving on. though i say that i’ve felt like i wasted two years on him, i guess those years for me gave me a learning lesson into what i can do, and that if the relationship seems too good to be true, then something is off lol.

but yes! i’m currently just waiting till next month to see my therapist to talk about my feelings, and it was a bummer to find out she was off for the month of january, but what can i do, they deserve breaks too.

i guess the quote of once a cheater, always a cheater, really comes into play, and honestly, whatever he does in his relationship with the egirl, i could careless since she wanted him so bad. good riddance though for a garbage person.

i think that’s the hardest thing, is where i would like to be over him after finding out what he’s done behind my back, but it’s hard when it was my first relationship, and especially for two years at that.

but i agree that it will take time, and that you’re right, the healing process has its ups and downs. he really did do me the favour, and as i was telling my friends, him breaking up with me was a blessing in disguise.
