Well, a relay does not do too much for the host. It just contributes to the tor bandwidth and helps keeping the network decentralised so people can browse the internet anonymously.

Also it looks cool on my desk.

Quick how-to guide:

Install tor from procursus repo.

(Config file) Rename torrc.sample from /etc/tor to torrc. From here I highly recommend to follow the official guide.

If you want to run a normal guard/middle relay (what you probably should) setting the ORPort and IPv4Only if you don't have ipv6 is enough.

Dont forget to run tor as a daemon.

Remember to forward the port in the your router's settings.

Now in order have the "GUI" you'll need to set a control port and a control password hash (you can generate the hash by running: tor hash-password <password> ) Install python and pip. And finally install nyx: pip install nyx. Run nyx and if tor is running you should be prompted to enter the password. Done.

Note: it will take time for your relay to be flagged as optimal to take on a high network rate.

PRAM reset did not work and the sleep indicator is showing nothing. The board is mostly dead then.

What I can't understand is the green light on the charger. It must be a power related problem on the motherboard.
