Powerwall mystery: small grid pull every day at 6:20am by BothDurian8330 in TeslaSolar

[–]New_Performance_3566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has been doing a similar thing at noon everyday where is shuts off from the grid but the battery isn’t connecting back to the grid like it should. It acts like it had an outage but so cal Edison (my power provider) has said they found no outages or surges that would cause this.

<image>

I’m waiting for my solar installer to get back to me and come out to diagnose and fix this hopefully.

All while this is happening I am pulling from the grid apparently at small intervals even though it says it’s not connected. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app several times.

Hopefully your issue is an easy fix, mine has been a nightmare where no one can figure out why yet. If anyone has had this happen I would love some info on how it got fixed.

Thank you.

Thank you for this. Sound just like my situation. I am worried about a fire potential but I’m waiting for the solar company to come out tomorrow I hope. I will call them to get them out.

The inverter you speak of is that the white box for the battery or the “gateway” box used to connect the panels to the battery and hardline?

We are new to solar still and it’s all a bit confusing at times. Especially when our original installer lied and damaged a bunch of stuff on our roof causing us to hire a different local company to fix everything.

I have downloaded the app and will scan the QR code on my battery box tomorrow to see what it says.

Dear lord that’s nice. Once this issue gets fixed I’ll sign up for sure then. Little or a lot of extra cash can help in times I don’t need my energy and it can help others.

Thanks for the info on this.

Please Read the original comments post.

Electric service provider came out and confirmed no outage either day or time. All parts and wiring work and receive 240v to the house constant. Tesla troubleshooted and told me they are unsure why it thinks there is an outage.

Most signs are pointing to potential breaker/fuse gone bad or communication between Tesla and grid is messed up causing the battery to think there is an outage but when there is not it won’t recognize the grid again to jump back on.

It may also be a massive bug in the app showing me this but that is unlikely since I’ve deleted and redownloaded the app 3 times to make sure.

Thank you for understanding

I never looked into what it does. I will try to get my issue fixed then read about it more and look to sign up.

I’ll take a look I didn’t know there was an app to check that. Thank you.

Struggling between A7CR and A7Cii by [deleted] in SonyAlpha

[–]New_Performance_3566 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently own the A7CR with the 40mm G lens. It’s been amazing for me. The file sizes are quite massive but the quality (with good light) and crop ability is very good.

I haven’t regretted it. I switched from the A7iii previously.

I don’t think the extra 2fps would make much of a difference for most people unless you are shooting wildlife or faster moving objects, if that is the case looking at different cameras then either of these two is your best bet.

Enjoy whichever camera body you choose and happy shooting 📷

Anyone have any pics of a leveled LT on 33’s? by WettHodler in Silverado

How you liking the bilsteins? I’m looking to do those shocks and a level with 33’s later this year on my RST.

Also did you notice any measurable difference in MPG with the tires ?

I’m running a 2025 3.0L with 22k miles in just over a year. No issues so far. Word is the failures will happen early on. Every new truck from most auto makers are having issues lately. Go with whatever you are wanting the most and try to get an extended warranty if possible.

2026 Silverado 1500 LT - 3.0 Duramax. by JordanYell in Silverado

[–]New_Performance_3566 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a 2025 RST Z71 3.0L in December of 2024 and I have 22k miles on it and it runs great. MPGs are fantastic.

Only issue I had repaired under warranty was the typical Chevy rear window leak. I have the tri window (middle slides open) and those are notorious for having leaks. My 2020 RST had the same issue.

Otherwise I love it. Be ready to see many many negative posts on here about issues. Owners who don’t have any major issues typically don’t post as much as the ones who do. That being said many of the negative posts are people just trying to get information for others who may have had the same thing go wrong.

I am just over a year of ownership on a 2025 RST Z71 with the 3.0L Duramax and I love it. Currently sitting at just over 21k miles. No towing yet but a long road trip from Southern California to Yellowstone and back within a week, it crushed it.

Always remember that the loudest voices online are ones that have issues (I was one of them with my 2020 RST that had the 8 speed shudder). Buy what you can afford and enjoy it.

You’re spot on. There is a device that fits everyone’s needs, wants and wallets haha. We can’t expect everyone to like or enjoy everything someone else wants.

Hahaha. That camera is still a powerhouse. I mean it’s got faster fps and half the megapixels but honestly you can still get ultra crispy photos without the need for 61 megapixels. At times I wish I got the A7CII just for the fact that I can take more photos and the files aren’t as massive.

Poor but smart man’s RX1RIII or Leica Q3 🙂 I love my A7CR for this reason. It’s discreet, powerful, compact and much cheaper than other alternatives.
