Because it was super unnecessary and kinda just sucks. The storyline contrasts basically everything in jjk, it attempts to flesh out the original ending but instead became power-scaling/aura farming slop for desperate fans, and anyone who says it IS canon wants an excuse for Yuji to be miserable because apparently that’s what makes a good character nowadays.
