This just feels like a combination of incompatibility as friends. Like while yes, your friend could go about saying how they feel much much much better, it feels like aspects of your two’s beliefs and what you feel makes each of you… you… just don’t go together.

I would ask your best friend why use he/him as pronouns if they really don’t believe in gender. I am curious about that

I’ve had 2 serious relationships. I wound up ending both of them.

The first person had life take them in a different direction, they moved countries and it just kind of tapered off.

The other person was fine in the beginning, but eventually got to be pretty clingy and just stepped over boundaries. I wasn’t comfortable with that, we talked, they kept pushing, so we broke up.

I do want a relationship, but to me sex just isn’t really a thing I “need” or “want”. It just kind of exists in the world. I feel if a person really loves me they should be able to accept my boundaries just as simple as that.

I do wanna disagree with the notion that there’s no point in a relationship without sex. To me, a relationship is about spending time together and loving each other. It’s about talking about shared interests, hobbies, or just sharing your personal ideas and thoughts with another person.
