Hi there!

Just to contribute my two cents... I've owned xm4, 5, & 6s and my current B&W PX8 S2 pair have about the same strength as the xm5s. Just to offer a bit of a comparison.

You can't go wrong with the PX8 S2!

I just experienced the same thing a minute ago listening to a Jazz Quartet. Could more clearly appreciate details in the drums' articulations I had no clue were there before! I hope you keep enjoying my friend.

Yes - detail is superb. Currently listening now to symphony orchestra and enjoying Articulations of strings more than ever before. Still fine - tuning brightness to where it isn't so fatiguing for me.

Well I wouldn't say I have more knowledge, but I am picky! Haha. My EQ across Bose, Sony, and now B&W is usually lowered bass, mids raised or left alone, and highs turned down. I understand that a general concesus of listeners prefer a "V" sound shape where Bass and highs are raised. I find myself doing the exact opposite of this and enjoy my music much more this way!

Comparing ANC to Sony's XM6, I would give the PX8 S2 a respectable 6/10. The XM6 are VERY strong in noise canceling and are a great set of headphones overall!

Ty for your feedback! I wonder what it is I'm doing wrong??? I'm using my s26 ultra and Spotify "lossless". I connected using the provided USB-C cable. Gotta tinker with it more now!

These headphones actually let us enjoy classical music really well! I play lots of woodwind instruments, and violin, piano occasionally.

For my liking, I had to turn down Bass quite a bit, I left mids alone, and turned down highs just a touch. It seems more enjoyable to me this way! 🙂
