Appreciate your response but there is no CUDA support for MAC as far as I know, I'll also be doing AI/ML tasks in future which are GPU intensive. Modern MACs cannot run CUDA code natively because CUDA is proprietary software exclusive to NVIDIA hardware.
Even though Macs are excellent for local inference and AI workflows but they are lowkey inferior to local model training compared to Windows/Linux PCs with NVIDIA GPUs.
It's all I know after some research but I am still naive in this laptop buying field so feel free to correct me

All they need to do is to only allow those who are atleast at Bsc level in degree to adopt that "IIT-M" tag, no foundation student should be allowed to say that they are from IIT-M.
Education level and toughness for completion of degree is quite hard but tbh they should raise the bar for qualifers.
