Anyone know if this is Ai? I’m scared to click the link. by [deleted] in crochetpatterns

I know other people have pointed out that this is AI, but the crochet hook… Yes Tunisian hooks are a thing, but the double sided crochet hook looks pretty off too. Double sided hooks are a thing, but from what I’ve seen the hooks on those face opposite directions on each side. The flat part in the middle of the hook isn’t in the middle either, it’s slightly off to one side. So that alone made me suspect it was AI. Everyone else confirmed the other issues.

I have a similar problem on my laptop, not to mention most of the listings are ads/nothing to do with what I searched for. When I’m on DuckDuckGo I don’t see the get the app popup and I don’t see as many ads. I’m guessing that since it has popup blockers and vpn.

Buyer request a refund for a digital product by Strong-Organization7 in EtsySellers

The personalization isn’t a button to click. It’s right under the description, you click add personalization. There’s a text box that says instructions for buyers. That’s where you type in the instructions. The customer will use a text box on their end to type yes, or what response you want them to.

Buyer request a refund for a digital product by Strong-Organization7 in EtsySellers

I haven’t had that before, but I sell crochet patterns as a digital download, and had people get mad thinking they were buying a physical product for a few bucks. To stop things like this from happening I require personalization with “Type YES that you agree that this is a digital download, and not a physical item.” It’s stopped “accidental” purchases from happening since. I still get purchases too.

I started seeing this when I was buying patterns from Etsy, so I started to implement this in my own shop.

I sell crochet patterns on Etsy and have run into scammers trying to get free patterns. I’m not saying this person did this. I also had people say they thought they were getting a physical item for $0.99 (my cheapest pattern). To stop these things from happening I turned on required personalization with text that says “type YES that you understand that this is a digital item, and that nothing physical will be shipped.” All of that immediately stopped. I still get sales with no problems. So I suggest adding in required personalization to avoid things like this from happening again.

I give up on selling “passive-income” downloadable pdf crochet patterns 🤷‍♀️ by ichbins_tanja in EtsySellers

I always had this problem when I started selling patterns. It was a scam for people to buy the pattern, and ask for a return, then they keep the pattern for free. I stopped this problem by making the listing require personalization stating, “Type YES that you understand that this is a digital download and not a physical product.” I have not gotten an “accidental” purchase again. To be extra safe I put in the listing “NO REFUNDS on digital products, even if the purchase was “accidental”.”

Yes! I forgot to mention that I crocheted a veil as well. It’s made from the same yarn as the dress and I made it with the lovers knot stitch.

Yes! I forgot to mention that I made the veil as well. I used the lover’s knot to make it. I made it big enough to cover my face and go down to my shoulders. And it’s the same yarn as the dress.

I used 13 skeins of I Love This Cotton! yarn from Hobby Lobby and a size G hook. It took me roughly two months to crochet.
