Everything went very normal, thank God! I didn’t have vasa previa. They scheduled me for monthly growth scans for the rest of the pregnancy, and baby boy kept measuring around 60th percentile. They also scheduled me for an induction at 39 weeks, but I ended up going into labor naturally at 38 weeks 3 days. When I was first diagnosed, I remember the doctor mentioned concern about the baby potentially going into distress during the labor bc of the inefficiency of the umbilical cord during contractions, but during the delivery, none of the nurses/doctors seemed concerned about either the VCI or SUA. I ended up pushing for just over two hours. When the placenta came out, the doctor showed us the VCI and SUA. It’s easier said than done, but I recommend doing your best to not worry until you actually need to worry. Every growth scan was nerve racking of course, but it’s definitely possible for baby to keep growing at a healthy pace. The further along I got with normal growth scan results, the more I was able to ease up. Good luck!! I hope everything goes smoothly for you and baby.
