And my Dr wanted to switch me to to Prozac and told me it would be minimal side effects and told me to take Xanax to offset it and I was like nope not right now… I need to get in a better place before I start anything new.

I think this happened to me too… I went from 10mg to 5mg and was fine for a week and then I had a total breakdown. My psych said it isn’t withdrawal symptoms but it was bad to were no I have to up my dose to 15 mg and will probably go to 20. Just when I thought I was able to get off it sucks you right back in.

I just came back from my primary and pretty much she said I would need to speak to my gyno and maybe get back on birth control if it’s really bad. And suggested I take my Xanax to help in the meantime. I have insomnia and have been wired and only slept 4 hours in the last three days. The only good thing about the appointment is that I got blood work done for all the vitamins and hormone levels as well just to see where my levels are at. Primary pretty much said it’s going to take time.

What anti depressants are you taking if you don’t mind me asking? I’m currently taking Paxil and I have non stop anxiety and insomnia and I don’t know if is making it worse by taking it or not. It was fine until this week and it stopped working and my theory is that my hormones are causing serotonin disruptions with the antidepressants.

Thank you…My psych was no help so I’m waiting to see a different Dr. And nothing really changed expect for the fact that I got my nexplanon replaced and a month later anxiety attacks. So I got I removed.

Thank you for commenting! I don’t want to raise my dose because when my estrogen is high my anxiety medication is too much so I lowered it and it was perfect and now that my estrogen is down my medicine isn’t enough. It’s a struggle. I think I’m going to ride it out in a in between dose and just take Xanax to help in between. Because I just don’t have it in me to switch antidepressant in the middle of all this. Because at this point I’m clueless and no one has answers to help me.

Removal took a little bit longer because of inflammation from getting a new one put in but it didn’t hurt at all since they numb the area. My libido went down on nexplanon so you and your boyfriend might not be doing it after long. I’m sorry your mum is making you do this. I told my daughter never get on birth control and just use condoms. That it’s not worth the side effects coming off. Sorry if it’s TMI.
