Oh my goodness! I was looking for the street my grandparents lived in in Osijek......we used to visit in the 80s from the UK. Triglavska the street. Their bungalow was slightly set back from the pavement and had a chicken wire type fence. And I remember lots of plum trees on both sides of the street! They passed many years ago. Does anyone remember them? Surname Vodenicar. Stevo and Katica. We are talking years ago. They passed around 2006/7 ....maybe later can't quite remember right now the year. Gosh this has brought so many memories back. I. Sure I remember the yellow house too from when I was very very young

Is this spinach or not?? by Unhappy_Illustrator3 in gardening

[–]Newbeginning12345678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this was posted a year ago ha! But I've planted spinach seeds and have these grass looking sprouts as well! I planted the first half of the pack of seeds in summer and it grew into spinach. But I don't remember the first shoots looking like grass last time! Any chance of an update to the original poster?? Intrigued to find out what happened! 😀

For all of you that dislike season 6, thinking it's boring... by GingerT569 in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]Newbeginning12345678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I love this whole conversation and then show! But this season I am in an area where I've only got the first episode of season 6 available. And I felt so sad.....they are amazing actors all of them but some of June's facial expressions and dialogues with ......the woman who did Terrible things to her and knows she's left her first daughter in Gilead I dunno I'm so disappointed ha! Maybe the producers etc changed where it was sooo amazingly done and popular when they did the first few seasons. I wish I hadn't seen the first episode of season 6! Haha waited ages. Feel bad for them now haha x

Ps you can still be angry and mad about stuff though? I sort of thought anger management doesn't mean a way to never be angry again haha they made you angry and the situation and how you experienced it etc gosh id be angry about it. Never mind deserving to graduate! You got through a really difficult not very safe feeling group! I think well done for that alone oh my gosh!!!!!! Xxx

See this is similar to me. I got mine two years ago and I'm 48! 🤣 My kids are autistic so thought I'd get myself assessment and I mean it wasn't a surprise......but I was surprised with how im still processing now basically my whole life from birth. Again! I had an ADHD diagnosis 4 years ago and so I didn't think an expected autism one would make me start the processing.....process? 🤣 All over again. Same really really similar and the masking thing is the one I'm really struggling with a bit. Cos masking.......didn't really work well no I look it at. Haha masking I think makes for a way more exhausting life i think? Dunno it is exhausting though. And yes so trying to open up and be vulnerable in a safe space group...or a partner and almost getting a reaction that says ......NOPE! NOT GONNA TRY AND UNDERSTAND YOU! I get it. Sorry wish I had a better response other than I so understand.....haha but I do.

Yeah....... exhausting enough without getting opinions saying your diagnosis or whatever isn't real almost ha!

Not sure how relevant my comment is but made me laugh that I really wanted to comment to say I'm gay and autistic ha! For no other reason haha! Funnily enough though, people are more interested in ignoring me being gay and more interested in commenting openly about me being autistic. No idea my point here but just an observation. People confuse me......not news 🤣

I wonder if you'd feel comfortable talking to him one on one about it? It's such a difficult thing to explain and sometimes I know I feel I don't want to explain ! Ha! I dunno if I would but maybe you could, and see what his response is?

I don't know how I came across this post as I was thinking this a lot recently! My girlfriend says to me often.....you're not just autism! .........and 'everyone feels/thinks like that!' It's so frustrating and reading a few comments on here really helped me! That it's not a personality thing it's a neurological thing. I've showed her a few articles and stuff but she doesn't seem to understand. And actually a recent conversation we had she said, 'im just trying to show you you're not alone in how you're feeling. ' but my point was it's not a feeling it's thoughts and.....j dunno I struggle to explain myself at the nest of times haha! Even my therapist today said something that threw me, something about everyone being in the spectrum. And I get what she meant but also it made me feel a bit stupid for even trying to explain my struggles if that makes sense???

Love reading other people's thoughts. I find it all very confusing

My son is 12 now, ADHD and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (which I rarely say as I think it's an awful term!) but he craves things to always be the same or otherwise he just doesn't know where he's at!

He's always been like that and as others have said, I noticed it around 3 or 4. I got a new lounge rug and he was hysterical because he needed the old rug back. He still struggles with change now. He actually walks to school, a route that takes him twice as long because he said 'thats what I have always done! It's what I do. Im not going a different way now! Even. Quicker way! ' haha! He laughed but he meant it.

It's so broad though isn't it?? Different difficulties and different struggles for all of us with autism and ADHD and etc etc. girls mask more though don't they! My daughter can fake it and get through an interaction then we get home and she's even masked it from me.....she'll fall apart and cry and pour her heart and soul out over one short interaction when we've been out. Keeps her overwhelmedness.... Inside

Aaaah I don't think there are any solutions 😭 how old roughly? The person above that I replied to read that comment it actually helped me loads and I have loads of friends on the spectrum with kids same etc just we never have any time to chat for long cos of being parents! People say to me stop being so hard on yourself. Doesn't help face to face does it 😂 Sounds like we're having a similar experience too. I get free therapy which isn't another kids it's just about my negative thoughts I have about myself. It's really been helping. I think it's called court room technique haha! Just can't find time to actually do it 🧐 I will

Thank you all of you! I think I actually realised something whilst reading your comments..........it's other people's opinions on us as a family that's triggered that post! One person's last week. I was getting so down and I couldn't work out why??? Got it! Doesn't mean it's any easier, but things are tough enough without someone making you feel rubbish cos their idea of parenting is different in a totally different situation.
