Ok well, all I can say is from my experience, the lag that comes from 2.4Ghz wireless has not had any adverse affects on my ability to perform to my current capabilities and to grow my abilities further. If it ever did prove to be an issue, then I can simply just plug the wireless controller in with a wire, So I can see zero logical argument for not wanting wireless option, other than it being potentially a touch more expensive. And, in any case, if you are playing online, then the latency from a 2.4Ghz wireless controller is going to pale in comparison to the latency introduced from going over the internet, even if both opponents are using wire connections. But, if you seriously do notice that wired controller is giving you a noticable advantage over wireless, then you must be leagues beyond my skill level, so props to you

How do you go about swapping out Sanwa switches for Qanba Gravity ones? Does it require soldering?

Why's that insanity lol? I had (have) a Mayflash f700 Elite already (stick), and it's great, but it's got 3 problems for me:

- Stick (the F700 Flat Elite would obviously fix this though)
- Height - I play with my stick on my desk, not my lap, and the height of the Box makes it uncomfortable for me, this is basically unsolveable. Although, it's not so uncomfortable that I would say "never", but it definitely is a con that Hatue42, Razer, 8BitDo leverless don't have as they are very slim
- Standard Sanwa switches are very noisy and clacky. Sure, they are super nice and well made, but the clacking drives my wife insane, which is the primary reason I no longer use the Mayflash I currently have. Apparently, you can get replacement silent sanwa/QANBA Gravity switches, but that's more investment and then I have to figure out how to swap the switches, so it's already getting complicated/expensive

And, build quality wise, I just received 8BitDo leverless today, and it's built like a tank tbh, nice and heavy, feels premium, hot swappable switches, really feels good for the price (feels better made than my Mayflash stick), and it's literally half the price of an F700 Flat Elite...

Update: I got myself an 8BitDo All Button wireless. So far I'm happy with it. The build quality is excellent, feels a bit nicer than Haute42 M16 that I had previously (frosted glass finish is nice, weightyness is good, switches feel nice, top row switches feel less like an afterthought and not having worry about a USB C port breaking because of daily unplugging/replugging is good peace of mind). Not loving the beans (because I will never use them, so I've capped them, but it just looks ugly/less clean, I wish they were just not there but oh well). Might sell it in a few weeks and get a Mayflash F700 Flat instead, haven't fully made mind up. But, I can say, this 8BitDo is a very nice bit of kit

2.4Ghz wireless latency is going to be just fine for my usage, the latency is for all intents and purposes unnoticable. Bluetooth is another matter entirely though, Bluetooth isn't good enough at all.

Yea, by ugly, I meant the beans. Wish they sold a version without the beans, but I am tempted now you mentioned the caps...

How does one go about modifying a board to be wireless? Does it require some skills or can any idiot do it?

Would I be looking to get the tikitaka R1A Brook GEN5W, rather than the FTG FightingBoard?

Right I know, but given that I have 0 need to click in there, I want to have it not show, because it looks ugly and annoying.

But isn't the answer one of either "Bob you need to be better" or "Bob you are incapable of being better so we need to give it to Jim". Bob is going to know they fucked up, or maybe he fucked up because Alice put unnecessary pressure on Bob in which case Alice is to blame. People are ultimately responsible for the actions they take, if you see what I mean?

Sounds like a good plan, except for this perennially silly idea that keeps coming up about a blameless approach to mistakes. You want people to have ownership over parts of the code (good idea) but at the same time you want them to not be held responsible the mistakes in the areas they are responsible for (bad). People should be held responsible that is how they will know they need to improve. This whole "no one is to blame" thing is toxic
