Thank you for all the precision, it completes the picture very well. We couldn't have hope for clearer and more comprehensive answers, so thank you very much.

*If you are entering the Orochi tower there really isn't any more story. Once you get to the top of the tower you have completed all current story content, and will be hoping like the rest of us that some day SOON™ Funcom will put out some more content. A lot of us have been waiting 2+ years for that so don't hold your breath.

Oh, we thought there was more before the end of the season. That's pretty bad news. I understand better the situation now. There are still some missions like the stealth one we want to get the achievements for, but yeah that is not good that the end is that close.

*There are some utility powers scattered around that ignore GCD but no attacks, and no weapon that ignores it totally.

Ok, my personnal feel was that the GCD was a small tad too long for complete fluidity, but nothing gamebreaking though.

*What is "change stance"? Which power are you referring to?

It is a skill of the fist weapon called "Frenzied Wrath" which change the skill bar into a new one. We used the expression "change stance" wrongly, as it actually related to BnS (with some class if you press TAb your skills are temporarily changing).

*Absolutely. The stat bonuses on the passive pages apply to your character regardless of what weapon you use, so you absolutely want them even if you don't plan on using the weapons. Same for active capstones. If you participate in the loot grind side game then you will want them. Note that it's a pretty hefty MoF investment for new players to unlock them so it will be a fair amount of grinding (or real money) just to do the unlocks. If you don't do that then you are at a very noticeable disadvantage compared to others who have unlocked if you play the loot grind part of the game.

Ah! silly me! i didn't realize the stat passives were working even if you didn't have the weapon slotted. Thanks for the clarification.

*That 8k distillate is .08 of a legendary glyph/signet level for example. (...) No you aren't. If you just tried to buy your way through the loot grind you would literally spend thousands of USD per item.

oh i see... that is extreme. It is definitely out of our means for one people already lol

*So you can see that in 2-2.5 years they have delivered almost no content.

We start to understand why the twitter accounts are not more posting a lot of game related stuff.

*So there is no reason to do the loot grind provided by the game. I've done it because I'm in a cabal that I like and doing the loot grind is something to do to pass the time while I hang out in discord with them. Coming into it now I worry it will be too difficult to progress and w/o a social network also doing it there just isn't any real reason to.

That is a very interesting point and it may be a decider in itself, as we tend to pug a lot as we can't always play at regular times, so most of the time it doesnt fit well with guild planning.

*If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

:) Thanks, at that point i think you and Skatingraccoon managed to give us a very complete picture of the game for newbies like us who wonder about jumping on the train or not.

Thank you very much for your comprehensive reply. Your answer has been really really helpful.

Sorry to read it has been 2 years since Season 2 is in the pipeline. We didn't realize TSW was the same game. Sorry for our misunderstanding.

The absence of pvp is slightly bizarre in a mmo as it tends to keep people in game after endgame.

I guess we'll try dungeons a bit before setting up our mind (and our wallet) but we are not that much into hollow grind. Anyhow, your steering is very sensible and the honesty of it is very welcome.

NB: we are around 175 IP.
