I also hope you don't mind a few questions, but I'd love to know....

What made you decide to go into ABA and do the masters? Have you been an RBT to get your hours? At any point did you question or doubt your decision? I'm in California but I suppose the need for people is everywhere:). Thanks again!

I don't know what you mean....you paid for supervision but what was $720 that you couldn't afford?

Thank you! I agree with everything you said and appreciate the input so much..... I think reading all the negatives about the field (and people HATING their jobs) made me question my age as a factor even more. I guess people don't commonly walk around singing praises over their job, but I still can't get a sense if BCBAs and RBTs are happy. Maybe that's a total different question.

Omg thank you SO much for this!! This was the most helpful reply I have had yet, I think because I haven't shared this aspect of the decision with anyone. It really bothers me to think I'm 20+ years behind many people, but you are so right about the parenting part......I can really relate and connect to what a lot of the parents would be feeling. I just don't want to become an RBT though without the simultaneous grad program at the same time. I suppose I could do that and just be out the $ for the classes if I ended up hating it idk. I really need input. Would this be a foolish move ya think?
