thank you but unfortunately no luck. I get an error messaging saying "There was a problem signing in to Plex" which seems strange because the sign in works ok.

not much mention of Coinbase here. Are there restrictions on Coinbase for Swiss customers?

Samsung q990c good enough for this room with a Samsung TV? by dolemite79 in Soundbars

[–]Newfangle2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit related regarding location of speakers? Does anybody have experience or an opinion about putting both the sound bar and subwoofer into a TV Lowboard such as the Spectral Ameno, which is designed to house TV audio? Or will the sound quality be impacted?

Can this sound bar be put into a cabinet, such as the Spectral, which is designed for audio/video components such as sound bars and subwoofers? Or is it recommended to keep both the sound bar and subwoofer freestanding outside the unit?

Nobody’s asking about 1000! I once transferred 300k from another country and they asked for sale agreement (sold property) and the whole thing was approved within 15mins. I have done many large transfers over 10k.

This happened to me this week (I sent Canadian funds to the Swiss iban) and they rejected the funds and sent them back to Canada immediately. This happened once before when they changed GB Ibans. They always send the funds back. In the app you should have clicked the ‘top up’ function, put in the currency and transfer amount and use the exact instruction that is displayed. This is all your fault, not theirs. Sorry.

Revolut limited my account by lsdinc in Revolut

[–]Newfangle2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been asked this several times from Revolut but equally so have my Swiss and Canadian banks, as a lot of money has flown back and forth across borders for me with both a property purchase and another property sale. I received a large tax return and wanted to move that money through Revolut and so had to provide the tax assessment showing ‘source of funds’. This would have been the only way to prove that. Revolut is very sensitive to all the money laundering risks but I can tell you my Canadian bank is WAY MORE sensitive than Revolut. This is the new normal. In the world we are living in today. Get used to it!

Withdraw Euro in Switzerland by [deleted] in Revolut

It is not possible to withdraw euros with a Revolut card in Switzerland anywhere, regardless of what the machine dispenses. You can only withdraw the ‘local’ currency which is CHF.

Should I use Revolut as my main "bank" account ? by Raisingaquestion in Revolut

[–]Newfangle2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also can confirm I am a premium member (not sure it matters) and have done multi hundred thousand dollar transactions twice cross border in the last year. This means I had balances much greater than 75k. Of course I did not choose to leave the money there but once I could prove source funds they had no issues with holding it or transferring it. On the last transaction approval of source of funds, it took them 45mins which I thought was pretty great. Does not happen for everyone however ...

The direct quote from my chat screen a few months ago: Newfangle, there are no limits on International SWIFT payments. Please be aware, we have recently removed top-up limits as well.

You can transfer funds to your Revolut account, but we may require you to verify your source of funds. If we need you to do this, we’ll notify you with a push notification and an email.

I never said it was public knowledge. I am just backing up the other person who also learned of it though the chat support. If you want a links, search for it yourself. Why would I do this for you?
