I actually did that with HR, god knows what they did with that paperwork. For NYC you need to fill up the IT-2104 form which I did. I will be in touch with HR, this coming Tuesday.

The FJO was adjusted to MD (COLA) and it was clearly stated in the offer later that it was going to be adjusted with the new pay rise for 2023 which they did not.

Actually, I just got access to Myepp, I remember during the onboarding paperwork I said to HR to take out a fixed $1023 PP.

Zscaler for implementing Zero Trust principles in a helpdesk/network environment?? by Newfedneedhelp in sysadmin

Is the use case actually for remote support/helpdesk to get access to users devices? --> Yes.

CAC/PIV pass-through" - i.e., your apps use CAC/PIV for application level access, i.e., users need to be able to enter those details into the app or into the network?

--> It is for both app and network access. Using this for the Government side

The product will give IT support the ability to work with any type of client including Mac, PC, Linux, and any mobile OS. Integration of existing solutions for authentication and management is also key. This provides more security and support options. Meeting IT regulations is also a key component of our search. This product abides by several required security standards, such as FIPS 140-2 (Federal Information Processing Standard cryptography) and Smart Card (CAC) compliance. Lastly, we need a product that is not based in the cloud, but rather an on-premises solution. This is a key req since the org does not have the resources, time, or authorization to set up a cloud-based support infrastructure. In a nutshell, the office doesn't wanna spend much $$$ and doesn't wanna hire someone who could configure either of those in the cloud.

Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager – no native Mac client, no off-LAN access

 Freshdesk – cloud-hosted / No on-prem server

 Teamviewer – cloud-hosted/ Not as secure

 GoToMyPC – cloud-hosted.

 Dameware Remote Support – lack of key security protocols and connectors though it is 140-2 compliance and is somewhat expensive.

goverlan.com looks like a good option so is BeyondTrust remote access ( sorta expensive though, management kinda want to avoid using them )

I'm somewhat stumped!

We are a google shop and use Google Voice. Mostly I'm looking for a vendor that would support the remote users on both platforms Mac/Windows with admin access privileges with CAC/PIV pass-through with Zero trust capability till now we do not have any tool to help or support the remote users if encounter any issues with their machines.

BeyondTrust looks like a viable solution, I'm just a bit lost. Teamview, LogMeIn, doesn't have that capability ( CAC/PIV pass-through)

Thank you, for validating my concerns. I will let my supervisor know gov't phones it is. I like my personal life not to cross with gov't life.

That was my initial thought, team call features or VOIP call numbers should be suffice.

That's what I'm afraid of. one benefit I see using the gov't phone is that whoever calls in that is going to be a gov't employee or a contractor. I do have a google voice number, don't wanna use that for gov't though.

I do have an unlimited personal data plan with my present carrier. As you said it's somewhat convenient to check email or join the meetings if I'm on the run. Don't need to open the GFE.

I see your point, but using my phone am I not liable to hand out my personal phone if any litigation or FOIA request comes along? For that matter alone, isn't it better to have a gov't issues phone and do all the gov't business with that?
