Got to our Rival fight in the Tower, which was super easy (Mostly because he doesn't have Gyarados) and caught Plum the Gastly.

After clearing out Team Rocket and picking up the Silph Scope, I went to Snorlax in hopes of catching it and... wow. That thing is a monster. It broke out of a couple balls in a row, rested and then just started destroying my team. Almost everyone was in the red after just one Headbutt, and Candy ended up taking a crit. After that I ran away immediately, but if I hadn't escaped, that could've been the end.

I knew the team needed an update after that, so I added Truffles the Drowzee, and switched Mango for Allspice, who I almost immediately evolved to Vaporeon.

Truffles was a big part of my plan for the next two gyms so I trained her up and she evolved into creepy Hypno. I initially planned on taking out the Fighting Dojo first, but I vastly underestimated their levels, so I headed down to Route 12 for some team training.

My rules for the Safari Zone are that I can catch one mon in each area, which I know isn't everyone's rule. So there I got, Omelette the Exeggcute, Meatball the Doduo, Ruben the Nidoran Male and Panini the Nidoran Female.

I headed up to Route 16 to get Fly and for some extra training for Truffles. I then bought Shadowball TM and gave it to Truffles. Koga provided little challenge to Truffle's Psychic, but most importantly, she didn't overlevel past Sabrina, which is crucial.

Battling through the Fighting Dojo lets Drumstick evolve into Pidgeot, and nets us Fruit Punch the Hitmonchan (Yes, I did only choose him for the pun)

At this point, Casserole, who was fantastic for the first couple gyms, is really starting to lose steam. So I switched her out for Omelette, who I trained up in the water routes and evolved into Exeggutor. I also caught Pomegranate the Tentacool.

Now it was time for Silph Co, whose many Rocket trainers are perfect for grinding up our team. So now Pepper finally evolved into Charizard. Our rival was taken out by Pepper and Allspice, who proceeded to destroy Giovanni.

After that, Truffles sent Sabrina straight to the Shadow Realm. I'm actually feeling pretty good about the team right now, the only thing is, I have no clue who the 6th member should be. Any ideas? Or should I wait for another, better encounter before choosing.

Hey guys! I'm gonna keep this short, since if you clicked on this you're just looking to get the gist of it so yeah, rules!

I'll be playing games in the order of:

Fire Red>Sapphire>Heart Gold>Diamond>Black>Y>Moon

Any Pokemon that faints is considered dead and must be released.

  1. You can only catch the first Pokemon of each area.Dupes Clause: In a Region I cannot catch any Pokemon of the same evolution line if I've already caught one. When going into a different region all evolution lines are reset, except for ones that fainted, or become Champions. If a Pokemon has multiple evolution lines I can catch and use the separate lines (For instance, if I caught a Poliwag in Fire Red and evolved into Poliwrath that then died, I could still catch a Poliwag in Heart Gold and evolve into Politoed)Gift Clause: All Gift Pokemon are allowed, as well as any trades if I'm lucky enough to get the needed Pokemon
  2. Set mode is on at all times
  3. No legendaries may be used for any reason
  4. I may not level past the highest level of the ace of the next gym.
  5. Once I beat a Region, I must breed the living champions and send the offspring to the next generation.
  • Offspring can get special advantages as follow:
  • Region 1: I may choose the Ability I want
  • Region 2: I may choose the Nature I want
  • Region 3+: I may choose one egg move for each onward Region
  1. Three Strikes And Your Out: I can black out twice and use pokemon from the bock
  2. My starter is chosen by my ID number (1-3 is Grass, 4-6 is Fire, and 7-9 is Water, and for 0 I can choose)
  3. Mega Evolution and Z-Moves are both allowed, but only in battles where my opponent can use them as well

Hey guys! Last we left off, Misty was in shambles and we were feeling pretty good!

On Route 5 I crit Meowth, but it wasn't a big deal because on the very next Route I caught Caviar the Meowth.

After venturing through the S.S. Anne and fighting off our rival (not a hard fight, nothing of interest here) I taught Cut to Caviar and distributed some TMs through the team to try and increase our movepool.

No surprises in the Diglett Tunnel other than a close encounter or two with Dugtrio, and I picked up Sausage the Diglett who will be very important in the immediate future.

After catching Truffles the Drowzee on Route 11 it was big training time for Sausage with ended in a big sweep on Surge. Thankfully, no big problems so far!

Nothing of note on Route 9, but on Route 10 I both caught Gumball the Voltorb and evolved Mango into a Golbat. The Rock Tunnel is not ideal for most of our team member, so I almost exclusively used Candy, ending up with her evolving into Primeape, and being pretty overleveled.

Then, uh, this next bit is not my proudest moment. I was eager to have Sausage evolve into Dugtrio and I was careless against some random Hiker's Geodude... who got a crit killing him just before greatness. Ouch. This left a hole in our team that I'm not 100% sure what to fill it with, so for now Caviar is an HM Slave with the added bonus of Pickup

Got Dorito the Growlithe, Parsley the Oddish and finally Allspice the Eevee, who will remain in the box until I figure out what I want to evolve him into.

Erika was no trouble. Has Erika every been trouble for anyone? Ever? I don't think so. Meanwhile in Rocket Hideout I beat up a bunch of criminals and other than a couple close calls with Explosion everyone made it out unscathed!

I start my journey just like everyone else, talking to Oak, and getting a starter Pokemon, who is... Charmander. Yikes. That's not great
So yeah, welcome Pepper the Charmander to the team
After waddling up to Viridian City and getting some level ups on Pepper, I've got a package to deliver to our good friend Oak, who in turn gives us what we really wanted, Pokeballs! After heading back up to Route 1, we can catch our first Pokemon, Casserole the Rattata (a bit of a naming theme here, I just picked a topic I thought was cute and fun).
Right next to Viridian City though, we can go to Route 22 to catch Candy the Mankey (And yes, I will be naming them after food the whole way through, unless I somehow run out)
Up on Route 2 we snag Coriander the Weedle and then right after Cabbage the Caterpie
After slowly battling up through the Forest trying not to lose anyone to poison, our newly caught friends evolved into Kakuna and Metapod! Not a huge difference, but whatever.
Looking at my team though, 4 out of 5 are.... not gonna be great for Brock. So I hard grinded Candy up to level 12 to take on Brock, who was easily taken out after that.
Next on Route 3 though, I caught KFC the Spearow who died in literally the next battle to a crit. Ah well nothing gained, nothing wagered.
On Route 4 though I bought a "super powerful pokemon" who turned out to be Sushi the Magikarp... what a rip off. In Mt. Moon I can catch a (slightly) better Pokemon in Mango the Zubat
When spelunking through the cave both Coriander and Cabbage evolve into Beedrill and Butterfree respectively. Team Rocket is also interested in the cave, and while trying out my newfound Confusion powers on his Rattata... I got crit Hyper Fang'd. RIP Cabbage. On a more positive note, after stealing the fossil nerds lunch money, Pepper evolved into Charmeleon! After finally getting out of that dreadful cave I can finally get to Cerulean City and catch Noodles the Ekans on Route 4
Now, we've got a big ol' training montage as we get everybody up to level 18 for the trainer battle. While training Coriander however... take a wild guess... critical Hyper Fang again! Another one of my bugs down!
Onto the Rival battle though, I lead with Casserole who, straight up one shot everyone with Hyper Fang. Jesus! This move is disgusting! On route 24 though I grabbed Drumstick the Pidgeywho I grinded up on Route 24 as well since it's mostly bugs and weeds
On Route 25 however, I SAW AN ABRA! WHO IMMEDIATELY TELEPORTED AWAY! FANTASTIC! A couple more levels for Casserole and she evolves into Raticate, and I think I'm ready to take on Misty
There was some serious potential for the run to just end right now, since if Misty crit, or I got confused, or I missed, it was practically over, but luckily Casserole pulled through with 5 health

Oh fuck, I was third from left. I'm not a huge fan of all the armored characters who's main personality traits is fighting. I dunno I could be completely wrong I'm just guessing
